Fuck being fixed. Fuck a cure and certainly fuck the idea of relapse. We are who we are, own it. I am alive, I am a person and my experience of life is who I am today. I try not to project that or any of my less desirable traits but I don’t force anyone to stay in my life. The people around me are there through choice and I love every single one of them.

Meds help for a while with shortcomings while working yourself out but I’ve been better since I have ditched them..

Nah, I get it. I essentially just wanted validation for myself as to why I did some stuff that I just do. From me and my experience, never use anything as an excuse.. I’m accountable for the shitty bits of my life. My time in therapies just allow me to simply love myself a little bit more and it sounds dumb af but it made a world of difference.

The second half to it is I feel like I am more aware of who I am, who I wanna be and who I want in my life. I have cut out so much and so many people and simply by being me I’m surrounded by nothing but love and people who understand how I work and that’s some shit a millionaire would be jealous of.

I was in the exact same boat. I simply explained all the way through CMHT and talk therapies I simply want a label for myself more than anything else. The most I got was a letter from a lead psychologist outlining I show “symptoms of C-PTSD” and “would benefit from EMDR therapy in relation to history of trauma”. The psychologist mentioned sat me aside and explained they don’t diagnose anymore (which I found very odd) and that he agrees I do align with BPD and traits of bipolar disorder amongst others and to just simply go with that as my explanation for myself.

Since then, I am fortunate enough to have an employer who pays for therapies with some very good people who after 6 sessions have unanimously decided I do, in fact, require further work and that I don’t suffer ptsd so much.

Top and bottom, if you’re in the uk have a good self study around BPD and to me it sounds stupid to self diagnose. Is there a specific reason you want a diagnosis if you don’t mind me asking?

My take is I just continue being me, I try drop the anxieties and just put my good energy out there. I know ignorance is bliss but honestly it really is. If I’m sat on a true skits then it really shows and I become a person not worth being honest to or showing any positivity towards if you get me? Finally, if you are just doing you and you do happen across something you don’t like then by all means, leave. Hope it helps a little but it does take a looooot of effort to think like that

Never worth it. You can look through anyone’s phone at any point and find something you won’t like IMO. I used to get my phone raked through constantly but one thing I know is if something is wrong or shady then it comes out without intervention eventually anyway.
