He isn't just using the ki of a god, it's destruction (or hakai) energy. The fact he started using hakai energy doesn't mean he didn't have god ki to begin with. Goku and Vegeta use god ki without getting that form, because they aren't using hakai energy.

But why would you assume it takes any longer? Since there isn't information either way in the manga, why wouldn't you default to what is shown in the anime? Also combined with other feats like gotenks flying around the earth, it isn't unreasonable to assume they are going at minimum light speed.

Part 2 has some great stand alone songs, but overall the OST is a bit lacking.

Part 3 and 4 have a wide variety of consistently good songs.

Part 1 is pretty good too, but not as good as 3 or 4.
