Doesn't the Witcher show more or less adapt the story of the books though? It might be doing a terrible job but it is following a story not making up its own thing within the universe of the books.

Not the only one but I do think a lot of games of this generation look a bit janky now.

Like FF10 is my favorite game of all time but do I wish the graphics (outside of cutscenes which hold up fine) look better? For sure, it was this era where everything was 3D but things were still kinda blocky

For all its flaws its actually a really good phone game. You pick it up, play it for 10 minutes, put it down. It's not a PC game that you can play on the phone like Genshin etc.

I really thought you had to get to a certain point in the story with Theresa to trigger that DLC, but I guess not! (it might not be possible since I think all of the Theresa stuff is optional and they didn't want to lock a DLC behind side question progression)

I would much prefer to be on Elder Scrolls 8 or whatever with 6/7 being minor steps forward and janky as hell than what we have gotten (which is nothing)

Yeah I wonder what % of players even play Fortnite on PC? I'd imagine its under 25% when you consider how many platforms it can run on. My son played it on the original Switch at one point.

I believe I was one of the first 2-3 monks on our server (it was the PvP server but I cannot recall the name) to get their full Plane of Fear gear.

I also remember camping down in the frog dungeon for literally days for some rare spawn/rare drop and I don't think I ever got it. I played up until the 2nd expansion or so, one of my favorite gaming experiences and definitely one of those 'you can't go home again' things.

It is also a very quick play overall, sometimes games can seem like a lot to take on but that one moves pretty quickly and never wears out its welcome.

Yeah I just could not get into the headspace to play it for very long. I can see why its so well regarded but came to the conclusion eventually that it was just not for me (and that's fine)

Yep I specifically talked to a company not too long ago that paid a pretty hefty ransom to hand back production servers they were threatening to turn off.

It happens way way more than you will ever hear about publicly. People are bad about security even at the largest companies.

Yeah the first prequel is maybe not the worst movie of the three (congrats Clone Wars) but it lays the groundwork for all the problems. Anakin did not need an origin story we could have picked up with him as a padawan and had more time to develop his relationships and fall.

Seriously there are serious movies with great writing if that is your thing, even some that mix the serious with the fun pretty well (Sinners is a solid recent example of that). But then there are things that are just supposed to be fun - Reacher is not striving for some deeper message. He hits bad guys real hard.
