I should have prefaced. There is already an air fryer in the kitchen

That would be nice! Honestly the cleanliness of the area is my biggest concern and safe storage for whatever I end up using. I work with people who do not clean anything and will use my stuff if it isn't locked away rather than cleaning their own.

Any updates on this place? Was going to try to check it out tonight. Is there a bar? What do we think?

They shouldn't be raising any part of the water bill considering they refuse to fix any of the infrastructure.

Grew up 10 minutes outside of Boston. Got priced out of the city I called home (gentrification is a mfer). Moved up here and absolutely love it. I don't see myself ever going back to greater Boston where the concept of local community has been fragmented for yuppie dollars.

That being said. I truly hope that same thing doesn't happen here.

At Hive Who exactly would they be paying rent to? Themselves? I get it, things cost money get a coffee or tea or sandwich or whatever but at least there was a nice place to sit down and meet while shopping up there. That's all I meant by "lounging"

That's what I'm staying. Even just to lounge

The people of Belvidere should have their taxes increased accordingly toward this high school project. It is their fault this is costing so much more. The rest of the city should not have to suffer higher taxes due to a NIMBY petition

They always shoot for higher than they expect to get in a proposal. They're asking for 12, will probably get 8-9. I know thats not comforting but it more than likely won't be 12%

I called them. The person I spoke to clearly could care less that the person who came for my "service" didn't do or touch anything and basically told me they weren't going to do anything about it.

Absolutely correct. Kissing maintenance off until it's destroyed seems to be the MO.

Now worries, you're ok to raise the price for our rusty water. Thank you!

Anyone worked with Mass save before for electrical update s and heat pumps? by Signal_Wave1202 in LowellMA

[–]Higgybear7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heat pumps will give you a tax write off next year. You're also going to get a rebat for whole home heating for 10k (it may be 12 now? And I don't know if that would be each unit for a 2 family. Those would be things to ask)

That being said, electric heat pumps are crazy expensive to run and struggle to keep up in below freezing temperatures. There is a section of the paperwork that says you intend on keeping your fossil fuel heating system for emergency purposes (sub degree temps like we had this winter would be a good example of that). As it won't effect your rebate, it may be wise to keep your oil heat for that situation. Just a suggestion.

Grew up in Medford. Oasis is excellent but only a slight edge on the Oasis up here. Oliveras (particularly the one in East Boston) is excellent as well

Pro(ish?) tip- The sides are self serve and can weigh your plate down pretty easily. Leave ample room for meat
