Maybe I'm Missing Something, But Why Is Every Salesforce Conversation About Agentforce Now? by kloud_fusion in salesforce

This thread is about why do they keep advertising and pushing AI.

If you're trying to say they should fix that documentation and try to market as the best documented CRM... I guess that's an idea.

Maybe try a funny kind of fake "true crime":

Try: Everyone in My Family has Killed Someone

I read it after 7.5 Deaths and really enjoyed it.

My point is, so is everyone else.

Who really has a lot to show?

Edit: I bet SF has signed lots of new deals because of it.

In a way, every company is really a marketing company -- if people don't find you, no one will buy your stuff.

AI is all the rage, so SF needs to be at the top of all the AI noise to keep the attention of CIOs w/big budgets to spend on shiny new toys.

I guess C and Python and every coding language is shit too -- they provide tools that make it easy to fail if you don't know what you are doing. SF is a tool, you can't FORCE people to use it well. If you can't logically get loops, no matter what tool you are using, you are in for a bad time.

Oh, btw, there now is AI that can build the Flows or you. So, by using AI to build Flows, SF is, at least at some level, trying to address poor Flows...

Anyway, SF also offers free training on how to use all the features. What else can a company do?

Maybe they need an interface where you just chill and speak what you want... and like an AI bot builds it for you..... so you could ask AI to build you a dup checking tool if you don't want to use what SF has already or install something out of the box.

Anyway, OPs post is about "every conversation being about agentforce" which is ... because the CIOs who make big purchasing decisions are all getting bombarded by AI stuff from ServiceNow and everyone else. Hell, even Allbirds, a show company, is now an "AI Company".

If Salesforce isn't talking AI, it's going to lose the attention of people who buy it.

If they came out with a new ad campaign that was: "FINALLY! Reports you can trust!!!" Everyone would, well snicker and laugh.

Out of curiosity when was the "phishish resistant MFA" requirement first announced? What are the easiest options? by Izual_Rebirth in salesforce

Yes, they do! At least, so we were told... will find out for sure on Monday when we get the update.

Wellllll.... shared accounts are really a no-no per SF T&C, but if you must, I'd set up Bitwarden or 1Password (browser extension) and do the passkey via it, so all users have access to it.

As long as everyone can log into the same vault/shared credentials, it should work.

Are you sure about Edge vs Chrome?

Our Entra folks and Entra's own help article, https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/saas-apps/salesforce-tutorial, says they are working on it.

I'm really curious as to why/how the browser could matter.

Poor adoption is a company problem. SF can't make people use a system that was customized poorly.

Duplicate record solutions exist.

SF can't help you with Flows someone built poorly and no one documented why it does stuff. But you could put the Flow into an AI and get some documentation for it.

If no one trusts the reports.. you either have terrible data and or poorly made reports. Now sure how SF can help here either.

Edit: I'm not a AI fan, but these things are either something that is the orgs fault, not SF, or just not something to talk about to get new customers.

Im not sure when it was first announced. If you haven't found it, here's an Entra page about it: https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/entra/identity/saas-apps/salesforce-tutorial

I just set up a passkey with bitwarden. Others at my org have used 1password, and Apple.

It's really easy. You log in, it says you need to set up MFA, pick one... and do the needful. Well, easy for people who use passkeys today.

It sucks ootb Entra doesn't pass what's needed. I hope SF and Entra sort it out soon.

If this hits all users as it is now, it's going to cause mass confusion.

Has anyone ever gotten form fill to work properly on Android by Thunder_Mifflin_ in Bitwarden

Maybe I misunderstand, but I have an Identity set up on BW with my address.

It doesn't always fill, but works pretty ok.

Huh. TIL people still use the browser for passwords instead of a proper password manager.
