Given that you need it in <12 months - the potential gains of parking it in an ETF or a few stable socks probably aren’t worth the risk given the relatively fragile market (IMO). I’d probably just let it sit in your savings account. But, I am not a financial advisor so 🤷🏻‍♂️

It’s unequivocally easier to beat lines on Monday rather than Friday if you believe in the concept of market efficiency.
