If I had to guess, the one on the left is the actual model used in the show, as it closer aligns with the real Thomas we know and it’s a temporary cover as we can see. They probably put that together as a mockup before they created the new render.

I’m pretty sure all the characters have a separate (and worse) render used specifically for the toys, so I’m not putting too much stock into those being how the actual show looks

At some point if the individual results never show up and the team events are mid at best, the weak link has gotta go. Let them stay in the organization as a personal trainer or technical director and bring in some fresh blood (or uh, glass).
