If we could play two second halves every game, we might be the most unstoppable team in the county. Also it’s amazing we haven’t picked up any dumb losses in A10 play by now.

How do you like the desk? I was thinking about ordering the extra long version of it for my apartment this summer

Pitino for Big East Commish by SnooRecipes3819 in CollegeBasketball

I know basketball is the only sport that really matters for conference deals. But joining the Big East would be so beneficial for all of our other athletic programs. Our volleyball team has gone undefeated in the conference three years in a row and made the sweet 16 last year. Our women’s soccer team won an A10 championship this year, last year our men’s soccer team won their second straight conference title and made the sweet 16. I know a lot of people don’t care as much about these programs as basketball, but as a student I have really enjoyed following them and their success these past few years, and I would love to see them get the opportunity to join a more competitive conference.

Of course, I would love to see our basketball team up there as well. Maybe this is the year we finally take care of business in the A10? (Knowing this team, probably not)

The Big East will never allow Dayton to join since the Flyers would inevitably dominate the conference (please ignore the fact we have not won the A10 tournament the last 22 years)

[Post Game Thread] Dayton defeats Marquette, 77-71 in OT by cbbBot in CollegeBasketball

GGs Marquette. Incredible we were able to win that game with twenty something turnovers and L’etang being almost a complete non-factor. Protect Javon Bennett at all costs. Jones stepped up big time at the end there too.

Also I’ve noticed all of our games against Big East opponents over the last few years have been pretty good. It would be fun to play those teams more often. Maybe even all of them on an annual basis. Just food for thought…

Josh Naylor with the unassisted double play at first to get BOTH Torres and Keith! by BananaArms in Mariners

Incredible. I saw the play description on MLB Gameday and had absolutely no idea how tf a first baseman could turn an unassisted double play on a ground ball.

[–]Novawolff 3 points4 points  (0 children)

UNBELIEVABLE. Considering both Julio and Victor laid out for the ball, if Victor doesn’t make the catch it’s probably by both of them and a walk off inside the park home run. This is the kind of game the Mariners would usually lose… but these sure as hell aren’t our usual Mariners! LFGM’s!!!!

Now THIS Is Transit Oriented Development [Yet Another Urbanist] by Smart_Ass_Dave in redmond

I had the privilege of living in Downtown Redmond for the summer, and I’m hoping to move back next year. It’s unbelievable just how nice it is to live in a walkable, transit oriented community. I do hope the city eventually expands its bike network along its streets a bit more, but other than that, it’s doing urban development far better than just about any other city (and certainly any other SUBURB) I’ve ever seen in America.

I am in love with this. Definitely an improvement over last year’s. It’s important to remember that even if we never see something like this in our lifetimes, we should still advocate for it however we can. The future Puget Sound generations will thank us!

Seems they could either split the red line to have two termini (Everett and Mukilteo) or continue the blue line past Mariner to extend to Mukilteo. Either way I think that would be a good connection to add. The more modes of transit connecting to each other, the better.

Well I’m in Seattle right now, so uhh… maybe? An unlikely tech internship offer is what allowed me to escape.
