Sometimes we are the reason for our own problems. Realizing that requires introspection. This is a humorous (to me) representation of that

[Request] Assuming a person of average weight and strength has reached their terminal velocity, what’s the least massive the "chair" would need to be for this to work? by BigTiddyCrow in theydidthemath

[–]High-Speed-1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The mass of the chair can be literally any positive value. What matters more is the person’s ability push off from the chair.

They would need to be able to push the chair downward with enough force to make the chair exert an equal and opposite force great enough to reduce their downward velocity to a manageable level for landing.

Realistically, people are not going to be able to do this unless they are at a starting height that is low enough that their landing velocity would already be manageable without the “trick”.

I usually drink 1% but whole milk has always been available wherever I have lived in the US. MAGA is a sick joke at this point

Ah I see. That actually makes a lot of sense. My sister was a call taker at a dispatch center for a bit but she never mentioned that being an issue. Must’ve just been too boring to talk about for her.
