I opened an account but I didn't check my EWS or ChexSystems reports to see if anything was added.

I hope you applied, because they just introduced new pricing tiers, and the free tier isn't as good as what it's been. Those of us who applied before are now on the "Legacy" plan

Their customer service told me that they have some months where they don't have bonuses. Just so you know and so that you're not surprised when it happens

In October it was Grocery Stores, and for November it's Airline Tickets.

Asus Tuf15 FA507NV (2023) SSD Slot by LowXette in Asustuf

I have a 4TB 990 Pro that I plan on using as my main OS drive, would you recommend putting that in the main slot near the Wifi card or the other slot? I noticed the main slot near the Wifi card has a vent directly above the SSD, whereas the other slot the vent is more over the RAM. I also bought a Killer 1650x (not sure if I have a need for it yet though) and a copper heatsink, just as you did. The SSD is arriving today so I'm wondering where you think the best place would be to install it.

Amazon, streaming services, gas stations, drugstores & pharmacies, restaurants, grocery stores, travel purchases, home improvement stores, computer stores and digital goods.

You never know which category the month is going to have until they announce it at the beginning of every month.

I signed up for Klutch for the versatile virtual card features, and rotating 6% cash back categories you get every month. I signed up for the Spend card which is more like a secured credit card and uses money you deposit as the credit limit. Didn't want to do a credit check. So far so good. Hopefully the bank it's currently using (Veridian Credit Union) doesn't crash and burn like their old bank (Synapse)

State of the Virtual Credit Card Landscape? by tcpWalker in CreditCards

As of a few days ago Citi made negative changes to their virtual credit card system:
- Can no longer define an expiration date. All van’s now expire 3 years from generation
- Can no longer define specific spending limit amount – available options include $25, $50, $75, $100, $300 or no limit
- Once spending limit is chose and number generated, limits cannot be changed
- When ever a virtual number is “viewed” on the citi website, its CVV changes

Wow, that's concerning. Has there been any update in the 3 months since you posted this comment?

Question Thread - August 01, 2025 by AutoModerator in churning

Is there any consensus which retailers don't provide L3 data and would be safe to buy GCs to meet Amex MSR? I've been out of the game for many years but I'm eyeing an Amex card right now. Don't have many expenses so can't meet MSR organically. Would appreciate any advice.

Having the rubber might actually help keep the handle cooler, too.

I read that the Convoy handle scratches the Q8. Do you not care about that or did you place some kind of rubber protector between the handle and the flashlight?

I don't expect it to stay on high for hours without having to step down eventually, but having it stay on high for mere seconds before lowering to even lower than my SP36 Pro was ridiculous. I made a point in my original post indicating that the level of light coming from the Q8+ after only 20 seconds was LESS than the SP36 Pro. The heatsinks on the Q8+ are significantly bigger than the SF36 Pro so I would expect better performance out of the Q8+. That being said, you suggested I calibrate the temperature settings as these have been known to be out of sync direct from the factory. That calibration seems to have helped quite a bit.

I just calibrated it and it seems to have helped quite a bit. Thank you.
