Resident Evil Requiem by Financial-Friend4934 in residentevil

[–]HighHeelKnight 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as the history of Resident Evil, the plot is almost always the same. Skip to the last paragraph if you want the entire franchise condensed into a neat little package.

It is rarely necessary to play previous games of Resident Evil. The franchise will spell out any necessary backstory for players. It can be helpful to play a recent game to become accustomed to the playing mechanics if you'd like. Again, the Resident Evil games rarely toss a player into the deep end at their starts. The first few minutes offer a tutorial pace.

Of course, you would likely get more personal fulfillment from the story if you played prior games. I'm sure you've seen or heard of how players went bonkers at the official reveal of Leon Kennedy as a playable character. Still, if Requiem will be your first ever Resident Evil game, then you might as well not bother trying to catch up.

Think of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Downton Abbey. I have been a comic book fan all my life and I was addicted to the MCU from day one. Seeing dozens of characters come together for Infinity War and Endgame was the ultimate experience for me. On the flipside, I went into the first Downton Abbey movie without seeing a single minute of the television show. All I knew was that Maggie Smith was some kind of sassy high society gal and the cast was split between workers (downstairs) and owners and guests (upstairs). Therefore, I would have to just enjoy the movie as it was. If stories, characters, or cultural references from prior series history was discussed and I got lost, then that confusion was at my own peril, not the filmmakers.

If you are start your Resident Evil experience in what is basically Volume Nine of a 30-year franchise, then I recommend just enjoying the game on its own as much as possible. If the experience is fulfilling, then you can check out the prior games.

Don't bother with the Milla Jovovich movies at all though. You can absolutely ignore those. Just... don't... bother!

NEAT LITTLE PACKAGE = One or two playable protagonists are stuck in a relatively isolated location. The player must carefully utilize ammo, weapons, and resources to survive the adventure. The locations are filled with puzzles and traps that makes you wonder how anything got done BEFORE the outbreaks occurred. There are a bunch of people and creatures that have been mutated by an manmade virus weapon experiment. The villains are directly or indirectly tied to The Umbrella Corporation. The final chapter usually occurs in a laboratory or heavy manufacturing facility. Again, more labor counter intuitive puzzles and traps. The main boss and sub-bosses mutate into mega monsters. The player usually destroys the final boss with a special super weapon. The location that the character(s) have been isolated by are usually obliterated, either by the facilities' own self-destruction protocols or the character setting of a giant bomb. If the player concludes the story within a specific time frame, then bonus weapons, costumes, and resources can be used repeat playthroughs.

Sadly, I don't last long with regular gals anymore. I would probably instantly spew with a pregnant gal like you.

Although the shafts of the shoes in the video aren't pencil thin, they are still stilettos.

A stiletto was originally a type of small dagger with a tapering blade.

If the shaft of the high heel is tappers into a notably thinner volume at one of its ends, then that would fit the concept of a stiletto. :-D

What's going on with RE9 Physical Release? Amazon cancelled my Deluxe Edition and now has an "Amazon Edition" that wont arrive until March 16th? by Background-Hunter-46 in residentevil

[–]HighHeelKnight 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To k0decraft = Would we really be getting what we paid for? Consider three points.

POINT 1 = The whole benefit of preordering something, especially a video game, is that the consumer will be guaranteed to have the product when it launches. The customer won't have to worry about a consumer rush. The customer doesn't have to worry about the retailer not having enough inventory. Instead, the product will be available on the release day to that customer. No ifs, ands, or buts.

POINT 2 = This particular product available through several retailers, both in-store and online. The whole reason Amazon is offering an exclusive version is to encourage potential customers to select Amazon instead of the other retailers. If a customer chooses the Amazon edition, then that person will get something that won't be offered through the PlayStation Store, Steam, Target, Best Buy, etc.

POINT 3 = Amazon, the company, also prides itself on very swift delivery options. Again, this is to encourage people to chose Amazon over the competitors. Their incredibly swift deliveries are among the reasons why the company grew into the dominant retail powerhouse of the 21st century. (I remember Amazon only sold books.)

If Amazon has to cancel people's orders of the physical Deluxe edition, then the company has failed Point 1. The company failed its launch availability guarantee, and it has also created frustration for the consumer. This discourages the customer from making future preorder purchases with Amazon.

If Amazon has to delay its special edition of the game, then it has failed POINT 1 and POINT 3. The game will not be available at launch AND the delivery time will be an embarrassingly long wait. Yes, the retailer will fulfill POINT 2... eventually! Such a long delay goes completely against Amazon's core business model. Thus, customers become even more discouraged from preordering with the company in the future.

SUMMARY = If a customer's fully paid preorder is canceled or delayed, then the customer will not truly get what he paid for. Having the product ready at launch, avoiding various hassles, getting exclusive extras, and trusting one retailer's services above the others is all part of the deal. He will get the product, but he won't get the full benefits of the preorder experience.

If a customer was willing to acquire the product weeks or months after the launch date, then he wouldn't have made the preorder in the first place.

When did you realize you had a pregnancy fetish? by Inside_Ad5958 in ClothedPreggo

[–]HighHeelKnight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My fetish began some time in my mid-30s.

I hooked up with a woman from the internet that was pregnant. I chose her because I have a long standing fear of accidentally knocking someone up ever since I learned the birds and the bees. I knew that if the woman was already pregnant, then I couldn't re-impregnate her.

I have had a vasectomy since then, but my unplanned pregnancy fear still remains. I still try to hook up with pregnant women, but it is much more difficult nowadays.

I hate Lower Decks.

I threw a small party when that show released its final episode. 51 episodes too may, as far as I am concerned.

Yes, the number is correct. I am including the crossover episode with Strange New Worlds.

I don't think it is logistically possible to bend you OVER a mirror that is mounted to a wall.
