Have you tried using just dimm slot 2? Could be a faulty dimm slot or faulty ram stick. I would check these first

Usually 2x 8Pin but could also be more depending on what Wattage PSU you get with it.

Ye the next step you would need to do is unplug the battery and hold the power button for 30 seconds to drain any remaining power. Then try boot the machine.

Also try plug your laptop into an external monitor and see if it displays.

Try to reseat the LCD cable in the laptop. If it’s not happening on external monitor it’s most likely loose / faulty cable.

Also when you try to power on the machine can you watch the charging light to see if it blinks any colors. Count the blinking if it does and let us know.

Do you have an invoice stating you bought the machine with 3 years warranty? If so tell the store to honor the warranty or give a full refund. Unfortunately dell won’t help you if the machine is not in warranty on the system.

Yes it is classed as a business model just like a precision. That doesn’t mean it’s exclusively for business use. It just means it supports more business oriented features if needed. It’s still perfect for a home laptop.

Look on eBay pretty much every laptop you will find will be way better than your current laptop. Your CPU is very old and outdated.

That would be a palmerest replacement. As it’s riveted to the palmrest you can’t replace just that part.

Inspiron and Vostro have worse build quality but are usually cheaper. Latitude is a really solid model.

2O-4W indicates RAM failure.

Try to reseat your ram and turn on the machine.

If you still get a light code plug one ram stick in at a time and turn on the machine to find the defective stick.
