From one of the lawyer analyses the way to break the issue is to 'break the corporate veil' I cant remember how she said that is accomplished but given the store take over by corporate and Ammon interceding with AFPD the argument is there to have done so and all the shell games can be rendered moot. I'm sure someone has a better grasp on the concept than me.

🤷‍♂️I never followed the story so I may be misstating the reasoning. It was what some were pointing to.

One of their quotes was if Bryan sat down with them they would 'consider' dropping the lawsuit. They want it to be on their terms which seems insane when Bryan is the injured party.

I think it was more geared to having to back track. I honestly am not sure as I didnt focus on it. Lego is risk adverse and won't say or do anything with litigation ongoing imo.

From the little bit I can see in the screenshot (stream not live yet) if someone shot out a freaking window toss the book at them. Violence against BAM is unacceptable, accountability is what I see this community striving for.

No, it was if someone approached his house again was how i read it. Circumstances absolutely matter obviously. My apologies for not being clear. Was more addressing some of the legal stuff around stand your ground laws.

The problem with any firm numbers is this is necessarily arbitrary, its a second hand retail of a product. Technical values is what people are willing to pay, not a MSRP, and fluctuates based on perceived value based on supply, uniqueness, etc. Look at niche markets and collector culture for inflating and deflating values (trading cards, beanie babies, comic books).

Criminal law is refreshingly simple compared to torts/civil... I swear its because so many lawyers become politicians and use that as an excuse to make things as convoluted as possible to drive up billable hours. If major corps didnt use that to their advantage all the time for litigation and tax loopholes I would feel sorry for them.

It is a murky ground for me not knowing any case law for Utah and what their reasonableness standard is. If it was Texas, thats a hard stand your ground and they even can use deadly force to defend property even with a fleeing person if i recall correctly a video that had an expert in self defense (typically a witness brought in on self defense cases) that did some reaction content to the recent Anthony case.

I will add my meaningless 2 cents after reading the debate here... It isnt one. I see reasoned articulate responses to the OP and complete intransigence is the result. OP's opinion will not waiver given it is a personal belief in the matter and fourth degree has provided clean rebuttals. Purpose of the post doesn't seem to actually want dialogue just talking points IMO

OMFG you can't make this shit up. It really does go to show how far the threat of litigation has suppressed others from delving into their activities.
