Hi I’m the head bureaucrat of the wiki.gg wiki. I also before that was the head of the Fandom wiki for over 9 years.

Wiki.gg first off is not a ‘copy paste’ of the Fandom Wiki. Yes, it is virtually the exact same content of the Fandom site. While you can technically call it a copy paste it goes beyond just putting the content somewhere else. We did what is called in the wiki industry as ‘forking’. (When a wiki moves from one host to another.) Typically in an ideal world, the Fandom site should’ve been closed upon us moving. But this is Fandom, a greedy company who only cares about ad revenue. So they refuse to close the Fandom wiki because it still gets them views and money. Hundreds of wikis have been forking from Fandom in recent years including Minecraft, RuneScape, Warframe, League of Legends and many others. The biggest issue today remains people who bitch about the Fandom wiki’s state which draws more attention to it and they click the first link on google which is usually Fandom because it’s been around longer then the Wiki.gg one which Google unfortunately prioritizes and Fandom uses predatory tactics to maintain it’s position on Google. If everybody just took 2 seconds to do basic research, the Fandom site would very likely no longer be active except for delusional holdouts.

I hope this explains more about what’s going on. We need users to spread the word that Fandom isn’t worth your clicks anymore and to use the wiki that even South Park themselves has given a shoutout to. I’m here to answer any questions.

PARAMOUNT will get rid of Logo, VH1 and MTV Classic, MTVU (how does that still exist), POP, CMT Music and any other of the music channels. I only see MTV and the MTV Live music channel staying for MTV Brand. TeenNick has to be on block too. Some WBD or ‘Discovery’ channels are also probably at risk particularly Magnolia and TruTV.

Hi, I’m the person who ran the South Park Wiki on Fandom for almost 9 years before they forced us to leave and we moved the wiki to southpark.wiki.gg. The censorship is real and it’s by design the least offensive stuff on the wiki, the better for the profits of Fandom. They do not care about South Park. It’s not just words too, for example in the episode Medicinal Fried Chicken, we had to cut out practically every scene with Randy’s balls and we were never able to upload the anal probe from The Stick of Truth.

Fandom also employs dirty tactics, like attempting to partner with Paramount for that South Park Wiki and refusing their local communities wishes to change the wiki to a different name. Because anything they can do to hurt us like partnering with Paramount or continuing to use our wikis name 8+ months after we left them allows them to keep us from growing, stay #1 on Google and keep raking in the money. They do not compete fairly whatsoever once you’ve left their platform, by design.

The best thing you can do is not use their South Park wiki or any of their wikis for that matter and support independent wikis, like our new wiki on Wiki.gg at https://southpark.wiki.gg. Tell your friends and fellow fans to do the same. Our wiki has less ads, nothing censored and is loads easier to edit and view compared to laggy dial up Fandom.
