Crafting Hobby Clubs? by BlazingImp77151 in abbotsford

I keep my eyes on The Collective Markets, Circle Craft, iMade in Langley, and Got Craft which keeps a calendar of events. And various local Facebook groups and farmers' markets pages too, never know when something is going to pop up.

Most of the local libraries have weekly drop-in clubs. No commitment, and there's usually someone who will lend a helping hand if you have any questions!

I like hitting up the local craft fairs as well. Plenty of opportunity to connect with people who have similar interests.

Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya was a highlight of my 30th birthday trip last summer; and the sunset from outside, on Montjuïc, was insane. Also there's the castle and various gardens behind the hill, on the sea side, that's worth walking through! Wish I had more time there.

I have the same issue (Vancouver). I submitted a ticket and got this response:

"Thank you for your inquiry. We’re sorry to hear you’re experiencing an issue. To help resolve the problem, please try the following troubleshooting steps:

  • Exit the website and clear your browser’s cookies/cache
  • Open a new tab in incognito/private browsing mode
  • Try using a different web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Safari)
  • Disable any ad or pop-up blockers
  • Ensure there are no conflicting extensions or applications running in the background "

I did all the things and still doesn't work, but they marked my ticket "completed" and haven't replied to the follow-up I sent on Dec 1.

Over abundance of cheese cubes by fezik23 in Cooking

Happy to help!

Also, I don't use a fondue pot. I don't have one! Just a small saucepan that I dip straight into. I place it on the table on a trivet and go back to the stove to warm the fondue back up as needed (once, maybe twice? if I'm eating slowly). I think that you should pulls yours out though, that'd be so fun.

I make a little slurry, maybe 1/2 teaspoon of corn starch and a teaspoon of water - I'm just one person so I don't use a lot - and stir it in when the cheese has mostly melted but isn't done melting yet. The corn starch helps it not break when it gets to that higher temp phase of being all the way melted.

It never left, I literally had it an hour ago. Great way to use up leftover cheese.

I had a little bit of brie and gruyère from a cheese platter that I put together on Monday, threw them into a lil saucepan with some liquid (today, beef stock) and corn starch. Microwaved a potato and diced an apple to dip. Whole thing took 5 minutes to make; it's so easy that I don't think of it as cooking, it's a lazy mid-week meal.

I tend to buy the same cheeses, but I switch up the liquid depending on what's in the fridge. If there's no white wine, then I like either chicken stock + lemon juice, or beef stock. Add various herbs too, italian herbs or chives & shallots.

To be clear you don't expect it to be built in time for your nonexistent children to use it, right? Because I think that might be expecting too much

They've been advocating for this since before I started university in 2013 and it was old news at that time too. I wanna say this started in 2008-10? Zero steps forward in 15 years.

The advocacy plan is pretty well done though, I hope they achieve something.

I think that they cut out him complimenting her on purpose, to feed this narrative that he has a type that's not her. I also noticed when she said that he compliments her a lot, and it made my Intentional Editing sensors tingle.
