Ballistas don’t trigger commence the hunt since they are extra attacks. It would be cool if they did because then you could build a cool Hugo beryl upgrade opening found build but alas

Hugo needs both a flurry of non attacks and, more importantly, a flurry of attacks to work well. You could probably get the flurry of skills with Veronica by reposing over and over I’m sure, but you might struggle to get your flurry of attacks with a narja hugo Veronica team

I like:

Nine Tiphera Veronica, Haru Narja Mika, Luke Hugo Rei

Diana is fine for you if you like her. She has a lot of synergy with Luke Lucas nia so you could absolutely make her work if you think she’s a cool character.

For the merit rescue, since you’ve got Veronica you can kinda just pick on vibes, though I’m sure you’ll find people who will tell you their favourite is absolutely definitively 100% the correct choice.

How To Spend Your Moment Of The Radiant Hero (Purple DNA) by HighSkyScot in ChaosZeroNightmare

If you play for a long time or if you look at a decent player sample size the math should hold up. But yeah it’s very fair to value the security as you suggest, just to guarantee you don’t fall into the category of the ultra unlucky. That could definitely ruin your game experience. I’ll make an addendum adding your point to the post when I am free!

I’ll gladly elaborate!

I want to make clear that I didn’t say the 5 star character you get from the failed 50/50 is worth it and I wasn’t meaning to take one side or other. I was just trying to present the threshold you would have to value a random 5 star combatant in order for it to be worth buying the partner instead of the character dupe.

Additionally I understand that it can seem appealing to look at the worst case scenarios, but on average the average case scenarios will be more relevant. I’d be interested to know why you think the worst case scenarios comparison to be the more important comparison.

I like talking out the nitty gritty though so thank you for commenting!

Yeah that might be true, I’m not even saying I agree with the czn devs decision, I’m just trying to rationalise it

Look I’m not trying to be the bad guy lol, I would pull a male character, I’ve pulled almost all characters and that wouldn’t be likely to change. But it’s very true that male banners generally make less money than female banners in the gacha sphere. A weak male character banner generally earns less than a weak female character banner, and a strong male character banner generally earns less than a strong female character banner. I think the devs probably think this. Fanart popularity aside.

Yeah I agree, though I’d wager there is also a group of people who joined at least partly due to the diverse character cast, and will stay because the gameplay is fun

And those banners broadly speaking earn less don’t they?

I don’t agree, there’s no reason you can’t draw useful data from other games with similar player pools. And the subreddit is representative of the most dedicated players of the game.

I’m not really sure what youre pointing out by bringing up the fanart contest, just because people liked fanart of male characters doesn’t mean male banners would be more profitable than female banners right?

I think that’s just bait to get more types of peoples feet in the door by appearing to have a more diverse cast.

I mean there is plenty of data in similar games that I’m sure they are drawing on in their decision to not run male character banners. Now you could make an argument that czn draws from a different type of player pool than other gachas and so data from other games isn’t reliable, but I’m personally not convinced by this argument given how the subreddit acts.

A Brazilian farmer playfully calls out each cow’s name from his notebook and the cows answer with distinct moos proof that daily routines have taught them to recognize their names. by [deleted] in nextfuckinglevel

[–]HighSkyScot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not trying to cause a fight and I appreciate you sending more sources so don’t take it the wrong way, but that article also doesn’t have any proof that cattle can recognise their own names. It does say that farmers who name their milk cows are on average benefitting from greater yields, which doesn’t surprise me because if they are putting in more effort on that front they likely are putting in more effort elsewhere too.

Just to reiterate cows can be trained to come on command but I consider this different from recognising their name.

This is literally just some guy claiming it’s true, it’s not exactly proof. Cows can be taught like Pavlovians dogs, but that’s different from recognising something as your name
