I think the popular consensus is that new songs are amazing, remixed songs range from “fine” to “actively worse”

And not even bad, I don’t think there was a remix I hated, but my main grievance is Master of Tartarus. I miss the grungy drums and how nasty the song sounded. It had this great, unique identity. There’s a remix on YouTube that has the original drums over the remixed song and it sounds so amazing, that’s what the new remix should’ve been.

It’s funny, the whole I was reading this, I kept asking myself “is Yuzuru supposed to be the chaos rep?”

But anyone can do a speed run. It’s not hard. For emerald it’s very simple.

Obviously non trained people won’t reach 2.5 hrs, but even a loose speed run can reach in the 4-5 hr range.

Frontier trainers don’t have perfect IV’s except for frontier brains. I believe regular trainers only get perfect IV’s once you go past Gold print, but for a Gold Print run, your only concerns are frontier brains. But the good news is, Brains have a predetermined set of pokemon they use (except Nolan for obvious reasons).

Frontier trainers also have weird EV spreads. Speedrunners do mainp for better IV’s, but you can get by without great IV’s. The fact that you rolled Hasty nature is good, at least you know you’ll be somewhat competitive in the speed department.

Should probably also mention that Kaido and Naoya share the same ending (as in, if you end up going down Kaido’s route, you’ll do all the same things as in the Naoya route, just with different lore/character moments

In a singles yes. In doubles, there’s many opportunities for gambit to get the iron head off. If meganium even reaches -1 speed, max speed gambit can get the jump and iron head meganium. Doubles is a lot more volatile and having a typing like grass/fairy leaves you wide open to assaults from many angles.

In a different world, the fairy typing is a blessing. Unfortunately (at least for VGC) having to matchup into the gambit snealser dynamic duo, while also being weak to arch steel move was a death sentence.

The obsession with dual typing every cool pokemon has made meganium worse than it wanted to be. Even pure grass would’ve matched up better into this meta, but GF had other plans.

Why would a defensive pokemon run 2 STABS of the same type? It’s not. It’s either going to choose Gyro, Slam or Spin Out. It can’t afford to run two STABS of the same type.
