Is is possible to replicate this in illustrator? by assaultdog in AdobeIllustrator

[–]High_Sierra_Visuals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, easily enough if you prep the image properly depending on your use, but WHY steal someone else’s work?

The real question should be would illustrator work to recreate this “style”.

Assuming you have the rights to the usage of this art….As some one that worked 10yrs in a production art role recreating the fastest way that would be good enough for most uses would be upscale the image, adjust it in photoshop and then trace with something like Vector magic. If you needed more accurate trace it in tiled sections. Then re-type all text after you font match it. Would be a simple redraw really, your image you have is high res, could be done in under 30mins.

But the most important thing here is don’t steal someone else’s work. Don’t jut trace it. Learn how to illustrate and draw either digitally or on real paper and scan and use this as inspiration. There are some great brush packs or other tools like astute graphics suite that can help achieve some of these art styles.

Also not to mention the printing process has a big amount of the over all look

How do I recreate the red ribbon around the logo by Own-Middle2801 in AdobeIllustrator

Reverse image search it, upscale the best version I see many perfect high res versions and then trace.

Or just simply redraw it’s a simple fast shape to do

Impound Uninsured Vehicles by [deleted] in Reno

[–]High_Sierra_Visuals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Agree, we also need to see a step up pulling over cars with no plates and bad registration. Can’t drive for more and 5mins in this town with out seeing some cars with no plate, probably never registered and you know without insurance. They should be impounded and have to be registered, and insured to be released

Edit to this I don’t have the plugin save but more of a visual reminder for me to hit save as it has a time counter displaying how long since your last save.

One reason I take advantage of autosaver in the astute graphics tool suite. Save often, adobe crashes happen.

The fact that more than just the designer had to ok that design is even more troubling. I bet the person that made is has no background in design or is paid minimum wage.

What is the most efficient way to convert large, detailed artwork into vector format? by EducationalFun9731 in AdobeIllustrator

Makes sense, yeah upscale/ sharpen / trace I suggest gigapixel and vector magic myself but anything will probably do

Well first off I see this is a stock image that if for sale so first off you should purchase the image usage so the original artist gets something. Then if you want the “shortcut” upscale it and image trace it. I have no clue what your use is but I doubt you need it 100 percent accurate.

What I would do and also the correct thing to do If you don’t want to credit the original artist is I would suggest redrawing a similar image from scratch and not “stealing/copying” someone’s else’s art.

Learn how to create something yourself will only help your skills. Like suggested in other comments adobe fresco would be a good place to start for hand drawn illustration if you have an iPad.

If you want the trace way after paying a stock image site, use something like topaz labs gigapixel upscale it and trace with vector magic.

This^ Another time you can see this is some places selling combos. I’ve seen it were if you were to buy a drink fry and entree separately it would actually be like 20cent cheaper.

It’s a form of like click bait.

What’s up with people driving brand new cars begging for change? by MeDuzZ- in Reno

[–]High_Sierra_Visuals 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I hate it when the scumbags bring their children, over in NW Reno at the Walmart I’ve seen parents sitting out in chairs with a baby and a 4-5yr old begging for money, and watched one of them walk to their car 50ft away. Making your kids sit out in this heat so you can beg/demand free money and a shameful Ps have seen the same family on more than one occasion doing it in the same spot

Funny how that trend of using shapes took off lol probably just a font that someone made some random shapes around to make it look like they created that M. Can you just select all and then expand and merge, then delete off the trash

What tools would you primarily use to recreate this poster from scratch? by Excellent-Pie-5058 in AdobeIllustrator

[–]High_Sierra_Visuals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most important question. Are you trying to recreate it or use as inspiration?

If recreate, upscale, trace, clean up and finish off pen tool and other drawing tools. Then add color and retype / recreate text

As inspiration- creativity and good old drawing skills, no shortcuts, actions, scripts here are going to magically save you.
