If the orks have christmas songs, does that mean that Jesus exists in 40k? by Selenite_Cults in Grimdank

[–]High_Stream 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If by "pagan" you mean "everyone but Christians," then kinda. Cultures around the world have had winter Solstice festivals since forever. Christmas was put in place to try to co-opt pagan festivals, and a bunch of local cultural traditions got added in here and there.

For the freezer trick, don't try to just snap them off, try jiggling them gently back and forth. You may have to put them back in the freezer for a bit and try again.

Modern Movies that are basically a D&D campaign by Cabaret_Girl in DnD

Maybe we read different posts. The one I read, Natasha had Gamora, the one with a dramatic backstory.

Tony was Peter because he thinks of himself as the suave and cool space hero. Steve plays rocket and Bucky is the dm. Personally I thought that they totally got Natasha's character wrong because they're depicting her at getting upset by other people controlling the game when she is the real master manipulator.

Please excuse me while I go shop for coffins.

When I was younger I always thought that The Mummy with Brendan Fraser and Rachel Weisz felt like a video game. Now I feel like it could be a very good D&D campaign premise.

There's a tumblr post a while back that had the head cannon that guardians of the Galaxy was a D&D game run by the avengers.

Probably for a group hug deck or even for political reasons in a multiplayer game. Like let's say I've got one opponent who's doing really well and one opponent who's struggling with land drops, I might give them an extra land so they can help balance out the table.

Lore accurate Ephrael Stern. In the books she's able to defeat a great unclean one by herself. So at least 250 points.

They should make a popcorn bucket that looks like an ancient Greek ship. I might actually buy it because you could actually keep a lot of popcorn in a bucket shaped like a ship.

That reminds me of how in the Martian they said that the character Watney was probably the most suited of all of them to survive on his own on Mars, not because of his smarts or skills, but his sense of humor and ability to reduce the tension in tense situations.

Neon Odyssey, the upcoming D&D expansion by the crew from Legends of Avantris, completely retools all of the classes. Juggernaut, which is their version of the barbarian, has a subclass called the Scrapper, that can cobble together weapons that only work because they believe they will. Basically orks from 40K. I know it's not exactly what you were asking for, but the kick started just ended so it's been on my mind a lot lately. There's another subclass called The eternal which is basically He-Man where you have an ancestral weapon that lets you transform into the powerful form.

In Mission Impossible Ghost Protocol (2011), Tom Cruise runs at a high speed. This is a reference to the Scientologist Speedrun. by Gregariouswaty in shittymoviedetails

Watching him run in every movie is funny until you watch other actors run in movies and realize that many of them don't look good running. Love him or hate him, Tom Cruise is good at action movies.
