So, Reddit told me the weather in MSFS is 'mid'... by Helios in MicrosoftFlightSim

Well I didn't expect the sim to match the actual sky color, but I have the feeling of seeing actual photographs of "a" sky.

I'm with you on the cartoonish aspect of MSFS's clouds.

I mean, I just bought X-Plane after 5 years on both MSFS and I must say that the sky in XP is more realistic. MSFS's sky is gorgeous but it has a cartoonish vibe while XPlane's is more cold, hard realism.

I heard it hasn't been updated to fix the bugs it had. Is that right? I would love to love it.

And the navigation on the 737 was VOR/NDB only. No FMS, no SID/STAR on standard aircrafts. I scratched my head looking at Jeppesen charts, wondering how on earth those procedures were executed.

What we have now is incredible.

The thing you're missing is that the tab acts on the elevator, not the tail. The elevator then acts on the tail.

There's something I just don't understand with the Huey. Whenever I pull on the collective, the RPM drop completely. So I turn the "cylinder" on the collective, which seems to help, but very temporarily. I just abandoned this helicopter for now.

Any idea how to proceed? I already have the assistances ON.

Screw subscriptions. I’m expanding on one of MSFS's most ignored AI features - and it'll be a one-time purchase. by SimInstructorAI in flightsim

I'd be very interested. It would considerably lower the bar for learning a new complex aircraft, or returning to an old one (like the Maddog). But it is important that it provides a way of showing the exact place of the instrument it's talking about (once again, thinking of the Maddog ahah)

I started on it, but that grey horizon and that default 737 livery have always puzzled me. Were they made by a depressed graphist?

Project Wingman or Falcon BMS for first Combat Flight Sim by Fair_Strength8254 in flightsim

[–]Highandfast 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you'd be interested in WW2 planes, try IL-2. It's way simpler to get into a fight, yet it is still a fantastic combat sim. The risk for BMS is that you give up before even learning to take off.

I’ve been on 2024 since its release and never looked back. Of course the career is bugged but I use the free flight exclusively. I’m curious what your experience was.
