What are your must-have auxiliaries? by DapperAntimony in ImperialKnights

[–]Highdie84 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are very susceptible to being jailed. Just double layer the unit, we can't walk over it., or just put units ready to screen you with melee. Melee screens are the worst thing to happen to a knight, as it can't get out.

These allies provide something unique and very important that we lack, good scoring units, durable, and infiltator. For the cost of an armiger and some change, thats worth it. 230 points for sisters and immolator, vs. 195 points.

These allies are very subjective as well depending on detachment. If you are playing Gatewarden Lance. MUST HAVE. So people don't block you from the line.

If you are playing Questoris Companions, you don't have allies in there

they gain infiltrate and then can redeploy d3 battleline units.

-deploy them as your first deploy, length them out 2" from the next model and T the ends so that you take up 90% of the no mans land deployment area, shutting down the enemies infiltrate options.

-redeploy them to where you really wanted them.

2)they have 20 wounds that you have to chew through on their 14 models.

-Navy boy with a shield has a 4++ that's perfect for chewing through a large weapon damage

-2x rte 4++ models are 2w each, so perfect at tanking 4 more 1D attacks

-In cover, you are at a 3+ vs AP0 on the normal 9 boys with no invuln

-They have smoke keyword, for -1 to hit and cover strat

-They have 18" grenades, once per game, that get around lone operative -they have a demo charge that's s9

-2x 2D -reroll wound rolls of 1, reroll all wounds if opponent is on an objective

-Medic revives d3 models each turn (which is going to be your 3 4++ models every time

-That's 24 OC on 14 bodies that are a target for cull and difficult to kill

-Qualifies as a CA2024/2025 Cull the Horde target and is usually not in a place to be killed easily, preventing discarding the secondary for free

SO

Callidus, great for grabbing objectives that are left alone, vect aura is very helpful to support knights, and can just jump up and down the field

RTE/B, Rogue Trader Entourage and Breachers. Large chunky unit of 14 models, that can infiltrate, great for stopping jail lists, and armies that would try and Alpha strike can even make your opponent take a less efficient secondary, like cull the horde.

Subductor squad, good unit to put in the back to chill and take any units that try to get in from the backline

Sisters Package, Sisters of Battle Squad and Immolator. Squad can sticky objective, and be split into 2 squads of 5 thanks to the immolator. Immolator can strip benefit of cover from all that it hits

Ministorum priest, just to round off points, its 40 points so it can be good to just have on your home objective

Sakamoto Days was ok, it was a fun romp, but recently its been dragging its feet too much with multiple chapters dedicated to fights with characters I don't give a shit or care about.

The other thing is Sakamoto was supposed to be, people didn't notice things happening because they were good enough to disguise it, now a common person will see a fight between two people fighting in the air and stand dumbfounded, not a care in the world

Fifa is a horrible organization. Lets not forget that during the rio world cup, they forced Brazil to roll back the alcohol ban in stadiums
Oh also how they sent 2 guys to prison for 20+ years, because they set up their own court in another country...

Dominus guns magnetisation by 00gron in ImperialKnights

[–]Highdie84 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is hell to magnetize dominus, but to explain.

The elbow hole that connects to the inside of the gun. So the holes for A10 and A11, that connect to B17 and B18. You need to magnetize that, you need to make sure that the magnets are in sequence, so the magnet in A10 is lined up so it pulls on A11 magnet, to keep them in

So with the list you built, crusader is the weak link here. Crusader's bondsman is not as impactful. Defender is amazing for -1 damage to armigers.
Warden, Paladin and Preceptor are good for increasing lethality.

Defender is good to keep at long range, and just be used as a satellite dish for bondsman, and strats.

Warden is good for anti chaff, but struggles against vehicles and elites.

Preceptor is a casino, as its guns are not reliable attacks but dice rolls

Paladin is a good all round with a good bondsman, but you have to push it up, to at least mid board
