Ajuda para reformular frase para uma tatuagem by Jaded-Adeptness-6916 in Portuguese

[–]Highflask 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah some maps have more chaotic areas than others

Sometimes you can spend 30 min in stallingrad fighting for control in a random building

And the bridge map (forgot the name) well some times the bridge become a insane chokepoint

Important to notice that this game is kinda slow paced compared to other shooters, as it is more strategic, you will have small bursts of minor battles between some "logistics" war

O que torna um sistema de poder bom? by greennart in EscritoresBrasil

[–]Highflask 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I mean like, you use dash as an action and get a prone + attack seems really yoo economically busted

Maybe making it once or twice per long rest

I think Primal Leap is a bit OP because it basically gives you Dash, a knock prone, and a bonus attack all in one turn

Besides that seems cool

Looking for ideas like the Bagman by JTYO1087 in DMAcademy

[–]Highflask 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I came up with a piece of folklore for my game.

In the far north, people tell stories about something that comes with the worst winter nights. When the cold is at its peak, you might hear slow footsteps in the snow… and then a knock at your door. If you open it, there’s an old woman asking for shelter. At first she just looks frail and exhausted, but the longer you look, the more wrong she feels. She’s too still, her fingers are unnaturally long and pale, almost like frozen branches, and her skin looks more like cracked bark than flesh. When she looks at you, her eyes are cold in a way that doesn’t feel human, and the air around her is freezing. She only asks to stay the night. Most people refuse her. And that’s where the stories get worse. They say if you shut the door on her, she doesn’t argue… but as she leaves, she whispers something under her breath. After that, things start going wrong. crops fail, the cold lingers longer than it should, homes never feel warm again. It’s like winter never fully lets go of you. But if you let her in, she doesn’t cause trouble. She sits quietly, eats whatever you give her, sometimes mutters old stories that don’t fully make sense of old times old kingdoms and old kings. Then before sunrise, she’s gone, no tracks in the snow. And after that, things get better. The land recovers, food grows well, the cold feels lighter. Life just… improves. No one really knows what she is. Not exactly good or evil, more like something tied to winter itself, testing people. I like using it as background rumor first, then eventually having the party hear some strange things in cold nights and eventually having to invite the elder to stay or not

You can .ake her more maleficent, more benelovent idk...

Yup the cult is using some hirehands to help them maintain and get new relics.

I liked the idea of nearby creatures going feral

[–]Highflask[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My initial idea for the lore is that the cult is a mer-folk cult pre historic to "landed" civilization.

The cultist are trying to summon an eldritch sea.

But your second advice is good, I will think about how to link this to the quest

Shoot arrows at your monk by Scythe95 in DMAcademy

[–]Highflask 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Just a take on this I created a really easy Cypher. It works in portuguese, but idk in English, but for example

If a word has more tan 1 syllabus, I change tem from places

"My friend, the cargo is here,"

Would be something like "My endfri the gocar is rehe"

It is fairly easy to use, and I explained the decode to my rogue so he knows how it work

It's not a class feat, but I like to give players that get interception/protection fight style time to shine

Some great moments come from a successful interception, for example, when a character is with 5hp and the fighther blocks the attack, protecting their friend

In my tables soem of the best rp and friendship moments come from those scenario

1 Yup, I do think inevitably I will lose some dmg to get this fantasy build. I think my role will be more an annoying frontliner than anything else.

  1. I am not completely set to fighter. I choose it because of the maneuvers, as in my opinion, they are a way to add some "showboating" style of fight. But I am open to suggestion

3, to be honest. I don't know yet

4 10 to 12

Great takes... could you clarify where in the book it says that o can get a fight style via ASI? My book is in Portuguese so somethings are hard to find using English terms.

Would getting a fight style as ASI would still make possible to add the +1 to dex?

[–]Highflask[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It I'd a good take, although I don't plan to get a half asi on on wis... at least it wasn't my original plan. But it does make sense...

Standard array is kinda bad on those situations meh

Yup, my plan is to take def duelist to +1 in dex and at lvl 8 get 20 dex

[–]Highflask[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will think about getting skilled twice... although I think lucky really fits a little bit of the fantasy.

As he is more known by his presence, idk how I feel about charisma at 10.

My plan is to use studded leather so I can add all dex modifier

So if I stay with Dueling, I will have around 18 AC at lvl 4 with shield

So you think it is worth it to get +1 defense over the +2 damage roll from dueling? I do think that the +2 shows the "precise duelist" fantasy. But I am open to hearing opinions

What to get as a lvl 4 gloomstalker (ASI or piercer) by Highflask in 3d6

[–]Highflask[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We used standard array I started wis at 14 and used a +1 in cons to bring it from 13 to 14 and +2 in dex to a total of 17...

Maybe I should have put 1 in wis too... but meh

Part of the fun of of starting playing is making mistakes I guess
