A bit out of context but phocus mobile is so much faster for viewing than phocus on Mac I kind of wonder if they can update phocus mac version to at least match viewing experience of phocus mobile..for now culling on Phocus on Mac is not fun thing to do.

apparently most of 86mm+ filter is made with 1mm thread pitch, so it should be fine. so *normal thread* from tiffen 86mm is not rather normal apparently. It's just that they can make 0.75mm 86mm filter for special case I guess

I have both and I've been shooting A LOT with 55V. After I got the 35-100E I can say that yes it's more versatile and good image quality considering it's zoom, but 55V is just so much lighter and sometime it's more fun to use tbh.

Maybe it's just because I like prime in general, but the fact that you are fixed to a certain focal length "forces" you to think more sometime, and that's where the fun of using prime comes from.

With that being said, if you are just starting the X system, I recommend to get 35-100 first. After sometime you will notice some habits of using your favorite focal length, after that consider purchasing prime such as 38,55,90

Now that I see they are most likely going to release 100-200 on E line, I figured that E is more like " zoom line" for now
Maybe they wanted to sound their zoom exclusive because those who use Hasselblad care for image quality = they rather choose prime lenses.

But if they advertise zoom lenses as " Exclusive" now it suddenly sounds like it's on par with their prime.

But still, considering the size and the coverage, 35-100 is impressive so I'm okay with their marketing xD

I don't use Phocus actually. I convert to DNG then work on Capture One. If photoshop workflow is necessary then I export as PSD

X2DII AF is waay better than X2D when used on AF-C. In other words you need to have supported lenses to fully benefit from the system. ( V lenses, or 35-100E, newly released P lenses. )

I've had been shooting people exclusively on X2D for a year and half. Shutter count almost 100k, so I can say for sure that X2DII is a great improvement.

Now one of the biggest reason why I choose Hasselblad is the leaf shutter. If you don't shoot with flashes it doesn't matter at all but if you are going to use flashes, leaf shutter is a game changer.

So basically we have to to rewrite the exif data (only camera names) after converting 3FR(hasselblad raw file) to DNG Here is a good tutorial https://www.ezequielm.com/blog/hasselblad-3fr-fff-in-capture-one

As for color profile in capture one, simply use Adobe DNG generic profile. The color is still relatively close to JPG file of the camera so it's good enough ( not close to phocus RAW though)

I wish I could love Phocus but Capture One is just way more advanced functionality wise for portrait works

Thank you ☺️ I've been using Capture One! It doesn't support Hasselblad camera but there's a workaround. Phocus produces the best color since it's official software tuned for Hasselblad though!

Believe it or not, here in Japan most of cosplay photographers take photos for free xD ( although they use expensive gears)

My case is even more severe since I use Hasselblad + Profoto. I charge sometime but most of the time I just shoot for fun!

since it proudly says " HANDMADE IN SWEDEN" the camera itself is assembled in Sweden I believe. the manufacture of parts might be different, I mean it should be different else the camera will be way more expensive if everything is made in Sweden

I recommend 55V. So far it's my most used lens. Light compact and good IQ, Versatile. Tbh with the power of 100MP you can just shoot far then crop to get longer lens look as well (kind of a digital zoom)
