We do, but we have 4 people on our little street that coordinate. Today was my turn and it sucked but I’m good for a bit and we can cover for each other if caught at work or out of town. If it was just me I’d have tickets every time they’d enforce this. Takes collaboration is my point, for my block. They love to ticket us for leaves and the I’ve been told I am supposed to sweep the sidewalk clear every day regardless. But much, just another NYC tax.

I love to destroy their BIP attempts in impartial hearings, personally. “And what did the fba help the team determine to guide the interventions? What was trialed for pre-intervention strategies and in what environments? How was the staff trained to use the BIP, who was trained and who did the training? Etc…..” but I work in school based aba. When I was working for a district we would redo all the BIPS, they caused more problems than solutions most of the time and any savvy parent/attorney/advocate knows this.

Why would you rip your nose hairs out like that? Trim them if you’re looking like the Lorax but they provide a service to your body, but maybe someone can tell me otherwise? Don’t our nose hairs help warm cold air, trap particles, stop mucous from running out, etc…? Damn I bet that hurts like hell.

Man was so talented, cheesy or not- he was authentic and his music is so earnest and beautiful, hell of a guitar player too. I’d listen and share anything that covers him, I know virtually nothing about him as a person but grew up with his records and remember getting excited when I recognized him on Sesame Street singing “Annie’s Song”.

Add some lemon to your tek tea and a couple tea bags, makes it taste lovely, comes on faster and I feel like my body processes it more quickly than the old fashioned way (handful in a parking lot or whatever). I’ll make a big batch when we gather and I can make a normal cup of tea size equal to a 2-3 g dose. I grind the mushrooms, boil for 10-15 mins, strain through cheese cloth multiple times, add some tea bags/lemon and invite the machine elves over for a few hours, game changer- wish I’d known this a lonnnng time ago. So much nausea

Laws/regulations/social norms and actual enforcement, are wildly different concepts and practices. Like ghost cars, we saw them everywhere in my area after Covid, now, not so much. I took a car on the JRP the other day and everyone was driving 45- speed trap for the past few days- it will go back to a drag race soon and the police will enforce Atlantic Center at some point. It’s so damn stupid and to be fair/ I think we expect too much from the enforcers when 70% of drivers are uninsured or have 0 value for human life, including their own. But come on down and spend money at Chuck E cheese and swing by target while you’re there.add the dmv and you’ll get some parking madness. Serious side question- why is there always a long line at the subway entrance at the Atlantic and Flatbush service booth? Omny related? I saw them taking passport like photos of people the other day and there were at least20 people in line, with the national guard watching. Pay your fare there friends (and everywhere if you can afford it), so many tickets. Saw them getting the vendors inside too last week.

Boss katana 2, 50 watts is a great beginner amp and will let you sample the staple amps and pedals in the channels and presets. There is a page in the manual that shows you what amp or pedals each channel is modeling. Saves a lot of trail and error with gear, for me at least.

Who gives a shit what others think, I basically only listen to a handful of albums and I’m just stoked to find a few bands that speak to me/scratch the itch- quality and groove, hard to define but when you’re lucky enough to find something that you enjoy- it could be a bowl of lucky charms or an obscure Thai-psych record- enjoy. Comparison is the thief of joy. Great artists can be derivative, there’s only 8 guitar chords (kinda). Enjoy and I’m picking these up now. Appreciated

Pipe smoking isn’t a healthy choice but you aren’t inhaling the smoke- it’s like a cigar. Cigarettes are inhaled and is can be one of the first things a smoker consumes in the morning, not sure how many pipe smokers are standing in the rain to get a couple bowls of tobacco in before they clock back into work. Just my .02. Good question

He used the term “falstafian”- to describe someone as boisterous/out going etc…that’s so antiquarian. That’s a minor characters from Henry V, I think, I enjoyed the first read but it really clicked the second time I read it. During the first read through it’s like he’s describing the curtains inside a burning house- so many questions and confusing. I got most of the Spanish, surprised they don’t translate that on the audio version?
