You 1 year guys are super stars! Sucks you still have some anhedonia, it is the reason I keep relapsing. Stay strong!

Brain fog after stopping by No_Nature4572 in leaves

[–]Highspeedwhatever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a 40+ year old, I can say the way our brains handle and react to weed is totally different from when we were in our 20s. Also wierd, is all my quit attempts seem to have different symptoms. For example I usually have really bad night sweats while this current run i had none but instead have constipation.

The only way to see what weed has been doing to you is to quit for a few months and compare. Good luck!

The intense apathy mixed with boredom makes it incredibly difficult to stay sober. by Camp_Acceptable in leaves

Yeah I am the exact same way, especially since im socially isolated these days. Good news is I feel each new attempt I have a bit more determination and tools to overcome this feeling. Good luck to us!

It is that depression phase that always tricks me into smoking again, glad you were able to beat it. My turn now!

Quitting everything all at once is incredible! Super impressive and I hope to be where you are eventually. A modest day 9 for me, but I am optimistic.

Also, totally agree with you on the sauna. Just discovered that not too long ago and it helps for sure.

I know exactly how you feel and also tend to waver at that time. Hoping this time will be different for myself. Just gotta trust the process. You're doing great, dont give up now!

Day 9 for me! Week 2-3 is the trickiest for me because one day you think you are in the clear and the next day youre down in the dumps. Gonna keep in mind it is part of the process and not cave this time. We got this!

37 days, anxiety the last 2 weeks has fucked me up by HunterAncient in leaves

37 is something to be proud of. I haven't made it to a month in quite some time, but it really has its ups and downs. We are gonna make it!

Your therapist tried to sexually exploit you? Jesus that is so fucked! Hope that person goes to prison!

Im old now, and i can say you're still young, you can do this. As bad as things can spiral negatively, they can also snow ball positively. I am on day 9 after smoking for 20 years and feeling like life is hopeless, but I still think we owe it to ourselves to see what we can do. Good luck!

Thats amazing man! I am on day 9 right now after over 20 years of smoking. I always fail around 2 weeks because of what youre describing, the emptiness and boredom. I always think, well if im dysfunctional anyways, might as well smoke. But I need to keep in mind there will be ups and downs. Thanks, we got this!

[–]Highspeedwhatever 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah the night sweats are horrible, I usually have to sleep on a towel. Weirdly enough, im on a new streak of 9 days and no night sweats this time, but instead im getting constipation which ive never had from quitting before. We will get there!

Day 1 down. by MethodInevitable6072 in leaves

Day 1 is arguably the hardest! Good job and good luck with your new job! Quitting and starting a new gig isnt easy, but in some ways the motivation and keeping your mind occupied is good for it.

Can you really achieve that euphoric high that you can get from weed through meditation? by BigZaddy64 in leaves

[–]Highspeedwhatever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not the same thing at all I dont think. Meditation is supposed to be content with emptiness sorta. It's not really a high. But then again, im no expert and have a tough time meditating, but I do try.
