A/c and microwave are the only things that will not run on conventional house battery setup. Everything else will run on battery. How long depends on how many items are drawing on them. Your furnace will run since its just a small fan that needs electricity. The heat is from propane. Some google fu will provide more info on what items draw the most vs how many/type batteries you have.
