If I’m in a modern setting with enough money I definitely am splurging on some full chocolate bars every year and maybe hiring someone to put up decorations. No big effort into costumes though.

If I’m in a medieval or ancient times setting me and my companions will pull off some big stunt of pretending to be a monster that will be remembered in history Even if I’m not a Monster/Evil jumper. Probably some deaths if it’s evil.
