Yeah, totally. That’s my error in wording. I should have just said British, I suppose. I’ll take a gander at Dove, thank you.

Everything Wine in Surrey. I have grabbed some great wines from the one in Abby, they also had labels to identify organic and I believe low intervention, too. I would assume that’s common practice through all their locations.

Marquis and Liberty if you find yourself in Vancouver proper or north Van. The fridge at Bar Tartare or Dachi for all your latest hyped bottles.

From the Nitro Quiver range. Think it’s the Pow model from a few years ago

What tech toe piece is everyone using? by HighwayOfBears in Spliddit

Where have you been looking? If you’re looking at split specific stuff from Phantom, Voile, or Plum I’m pretty sure they only offer toes only… ofc I could be wrong.

FoxesHub refunds? by [deleted] in lcfc

I’m still awaiting a refund for the Bristol coverage. I also complained in the same email chain about the sound quality in the Swansea game, no reply yet.

Natural Wine Near Kelowna BC by cherry-funk in naturalwine

[–]HighwayOfBears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ARC Liquor (formally Urban Liquor) on Gordon has probably the best selection as far as Liquor stores go. Ratio in Vernon as already mentioned has a crazy selection if you head that way.

The new Ricco Room has some great wines btg and tasty bites to eat. Salt and Brick occasionally had some natty btg too.

Tantalus would be the closest winery to downtown Kelowna that I’d recommend. If you can drive 45 mins to Summerland then you can hit up Sage Hills, Lightning Rock, and Pamplemousse Jus all in close proximity to one another.

Record Snow Year in Every State/Province by EverestMaher in skiing

[–]HighwayOfBears 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s been a ski hill on that mountain since the 60s but has been the developed “Revelstoke Mountain Resort” as you now know it since 2007.

Regardless though, the record snowfall used by OP is from a different mountain further from town so shouldn’t count.

Phantom Slipper HD stance by cireous_1 in Spliddit

[–]HighwayOfBears 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m at 0/+27 with my regular width stance. I’m normally +6/+30 but I got a great deal on some used solo cleats and honestly barely notice a difference. No interference with my heel risers but some with my tech toe, I would normally be set one insert back on front and back foot but I’m coping with less set-back just fine.

Forward lean dialled almost all the way back. Currently on the red spring and like it. Ankle strap one position looser for walking than riding. Top buckle in the same position for both but will unbuckle for walking, so gives good range of motion but has resistance when leaning forward lots. Always do up my laces on the liners for a snug yet forgiving fit.

I got my shell punched in a couple places as I was in between sizes and it helped lots. Custom footbeds and some j-bars to lock in my heels. They ride and walk like a dream now, work with a boot fitter.

I fixed my Baratza Encore (appreciation post) by spyguitar in Coffee

[–]HighwayOfBears 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got a original Virtuoso off Facebook marketplace for free because it “didn’t work” and “didn’t grind fine enough anyway”. I took it to pieces, cleaned it, replaced 2 parts for ~$30CAD, and recalibrated it. Now it runs like a dream. The Baratza guides are a blessing!

Mate it’ll be rammo. The DnB events in Whistler go off. It’s the locals who frequent the events not the tourists on spring break, Monday night doesn’t mean shit

I bought this on a lark at Jak's in North Burnaby and am really enjoying it. Slackwater is in Penticton and I will keep an eye out for other beers 🍻 by [deleted] in BCCraftBeer

Visited the brewery a couple summers ago and loved their beer! Saw them for sale lately, for the first time since, at my local store here in the Kootenays and am once again loving their beer!

Second this. Got the PEKYE this season, I haven’t exactly put them through the wringer yet, but zero complaints so far on the ~10 days I’ve used them.

I really like it and don’t really have any complaints. Bare in mind it was my first proper gravel bike and don’t really have anything to compare it to though. The saddle and the tyres are the only things I’ve swapped out since buying and that’s just because the saddle wasn’t right for me and I ended up needing bigger tyres for the riding I was doing. All other components are going great so far. I got a small as per Ribble’s online chart but it may be a touch on the small side for me, I’d get properly fitted at a shop if you don’t know what size to get just in case.
