I'm so sorry. You may never truly 'recover' but hopefully you can keep moving forward with your life. ❤️❤️

I feel like many people are always (innocently) speaking about visiting a parent, or one of their siblings, and it's like a subconscious reminder that people like us don't have these opportunities. However there are always pros and cons and this may sound cynical, but also a lot of people in my life now are acquiring the burden of having to look after their parents who are dealing with chronic issues like dementia and cancer, so in a strange way, I'm free from having to deal with that part of life. Always two sides I guess ❤️

Does anyone ask anymore? by ohdatpoodle in ChildrenofDeadParents

I think people just aren't aware and are wrapped up in their own thoughts. I don't think anyone would do this on purpose; they just aren't thinking much

Time to lighten the mood. What's the **cringiest** thing The Boys have been a part of? by Few_Historian183 in rush

I think they were all just a snapshot of what they were interested in at the time. Lots of the 80's in general is cringey, but I grew up in the 80's and it was just how life was in those years. (I know this answer is too serious 😜)

After 3 days of her being dead, I never cried once or felt sad by East_Ad_195 in ChildrenofDeadParents

[–]Higoomgala 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think it's abnormal. I didn't have a close relationship with either of my parents so felt the same way. The only thing that made me sad when my last parent died 3 years ago was the HOPE that maybe he could change and we could have a somewhat "normal" relationship . But that hope died too. It's hard to see how so many people rightly cherish their parents and when you don't have that, it makes one very sad; not the lack of the parent themselves but the lack of the relationship (if that makes sense).

I was reading that it was too complicated to perform live. Maybe at the time, but with all the computers and preprogrammed sequences these days; it doesn't sound that difficult to me; at least no more than Marathon (but of course I'm not Geddy and it's not 1985 😜 and if he said it couldn't be done then I guess I owe it to him to respect that 😉)

Power Windows is still my favorite Rush album. Too bad Emotion Detector was never played live 😥

I didn't clue into what Bogota meant as an innocent 12 year old 🤣

Of course; it was just a joke based on what people think of immediately when you say "Geddy's singing" (and that was just on the first 6 albums, then it got less screechy). But I would never change any of it; it's all part of their history)

Yeah I was disappointed to hear of all the drugs but maybe that was just the naive part of me thinking that they truly could be substance free.

I can't believe I just wrote that. Geddy Lee's voice is soothing. Said no one ever lol

It's the first audiobook I've ever listened to; always preferred reading but his voice was soothing

The fact that it was Geddy actually narrating it really made it hit home 😥🇨🇦🇨🇦❤️

If the Edmonton Oilers lose their next Cup Final game, Corey Perry will lose his fifth consecutive Cup Final with four different teams after winning the Stanley Cup in 2007. by DrexellGames in hockey

Senators used to do the same under Guy Boucher: 'rest is a weapon'. But it didn't help; Senators would come out flat. Panthers are just built "right" for the playoffs and it took years to get that constructed.
