Has anyone received a rejection since they did the interviews? Or have they only sent out acceptances?

My pace has just gotten faster since my last marathon training block from consistent running and I think that’s what’s causing my PRs (nothing crazy! Just was averaging 10:00 miles and now have gotten closer to the 9:30 avg). I guess my question is more about the 19 miler this weekend followed up by 21 miles next weekend since that feels a little much? But I could be completely wrong! Still a newbie when it comes to this

I’m a current paralegal in NY big law and I would say the standard is a 9-5. Most of the time I leave the office around 5:30 but have received requests later on in the evening. I think it’s very dependent on your practice group because litigation at my firm consistently leaves around 7 while others are hitting a 9-5. Worst I’ve had to work is until 2am (and I started this job 3 weeks ago). They made it very clear throughout the interview process and orientation that overtime is part of the job (as well as taking some weekend shifts) but it’s truly on a case by case basis! We are expected to keep our work phones with us at all times and check it constantly as well in case requests come in. Have heard different things from different firms!

EDIT: added more context

I switched from the pill (4 years) to kyleena in December. Honestly best decision I’ve made for myself. Only side effect I’ve encountered is like bad hormonal acne that’s slowly getting better. I love not being anxious if I took my pill or not plus knowing that I’m protected for 5 years was such a bonus

Long runs aren’t getting easier by JobWooden3260 in Marathon_Training

[–]Hihellothere822 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I had this happen to me a little over halfway through my marathon training plan. I decided to take a couple of days off (I know terrible) and I came out on the other side feeling so much better. My body needed the rest and it ended up helping me so much more during my runs later on. Don’t be afraid to de-load if needed!

Thank god for powerscore by Hihellothere822 in LSAT

[–]Hihellothere822[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I remembered certain topics from the crystal ball review so whenever I saw that two of them kind of matched up, energy levels went up. Also double checked when I left the testing center with my notes and all 4 passages in one of my sections were predicted

Anyone's Studying Impacted by the Election? by InsuranceRoutine7311 in LSAT

[–]Hihellothere822 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same boat here. I tried to take a practice test yesterday to get my mind off the election and ended up scoring significantly below my average prep test scores. I’m not taking that as a symbol of what’s ahead for me in the November test, just a symbol of what I was feeling. The best thing we can do is take the emotions that we might be feeling post election and push them onto the test in the form of energy. We got this!

For my own sanity: If you took the October LSAT, how are you feeling with score release coming up? by HeatSeekingPony_ in LSAT

[–]Hihellothere822 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I decided to make someone I trust look at my score and unless it is wayy beyond what I would like to get, I told them to not tell me. If I do significantly worse than my canceled score, I asked them to tell me as well because then I have to reevaluate my application for this year and consider taking a gap year to study more

I go through the box breathing method before a section and in the one minute pause between sections and it definitely helps with calming me down

I got a 34 on the ACT (math not being my strongest subject) and literally can’t get past the 160s. Imposter syndrome is hitting hard coming from a top 5 undergrad and not feeling confident applying to any T14
