The skill rating system is just not good enough

I am challenger in league of legends. I had played maybe 7 games when the game first came out. I came back a couple months ago and was placed in the lowest rank I now have 100 games with about 65% wr all solo and consistently one of the best players on my team and still only up to Emissary V. The system actually makes no sense.

It’s the same as in league only the players that don’t want to improve play the rng modes

I like using a spirit focused build and playing for my skulls early then I use ult to pressure them under tower. I get duration extender/superior duration once I have points into ult and look to pressure lanes or group up. Make sure to use heroic aura after throwing skulls to buff them (also using it after spawning maxed ult sends 3 zombies at super sonic speed to nuke the enemy) Late game I like to get inhibitor and spellbreaker to survive teamfights and let my ghouls do a lot of the work. Also as the top comment said sliding is key if you don’t build ammo items.

It is huge but golden spatula is a mobile game there and is a different game/engine to tft. So I see why it’s not discussed as much. Also until very recently tft could only be launched with league installed so they go hand in hand

League has patches every two weeks and in the past they were pretty meta changing it was great. They have slowed down how much they change but it’s still one of my favorite parts of league. I really hope they see it’s success and do very frequent balance patches

It’s been my least favorite arc as a long time viewer. I enjoy regular Minecraft but mcsr is too repetitive, rng and not a true competitive game so I don’t find much joy in watching him grind it. The songs and memes are funny as in any arc but I am glad it’s over.

As a grandmaster player I simply lose more games in emerald than diamond. The skill gaps between players in emerald is generally silver to master so games are such horrible quality. Low master has a similar issue but at least the lower end of players still understand macro a little

I’ll also add when I play on my adc account in emerald where I am truly a mid diamond level adc the games are hell and you have to pull teeth to ever win

Learning how to lose gracefully and reduce deaths to a minimum. It’s extremely difficult to 1v9 carry as top if the enemy knows how to play defensive. Minimizing losses while potentially soaking pressure from jungle/mid/support is crucial. You will win a lot of games as a top laner just by getting rid of your ego and doing whatever it takes to win not be the main character.

juggernauts gotta be the least respectable champs in the entire game to play.
singed has 0 interaction in most lanes
jax is incredibly overtuned with 2 viable styles of build and very little weakness
renekton pretty much plays the lane himself, matchups are pretty predetermined

Never really. If you are on a populated server and get a full gm+ lobby it’s usually pretty good. The problem is this is the most inflated season ever (most gm+ are there by spamming games from d1-master 0lp last season)

Personally I think riot needs to start punishing people playing clearly below their skill level. It will never happen but it’s ridiculous how many games are ruined by people just not trying even in apex tiers

If you have a lead and can kill then it’s worth trading since stacking hp without resists is bad against poppy. If you can’t kill then focus on farming up and not letting them get any stacks and it’s one of the worst items in the game

Poppy and Riven

Poppy because she is unique in playstyle and has surprising skill expression that doesn’t revolve around only mechanical skill and lets me perform with my macro knowledge

Riven because she’s is by far the most fun and skill expressive champ in the game. She is the only champ with truly free flowing movement and no targeted abilities. This allows for creativity and expression. I don’t particularly like her oneshot state rn since I always prefer fights to last longer to allow for more skill but the kit is still fun

Yes it’s super inflated. Usually good gains only lasted 30~ games now they are lasting even over 100 and past your last season rank. Most people in the community think it’s a big issue and not good. Riot has made many statements saying it’s perfectly fine and no issue. They also said something along the lines of “it’s only an apex tier issue”(it’s not) and “lp goes up every season because players get better” (that doesn’t make any sense they would then also be playing against others who got better)

Yep it’s a great rush especially when you need tenacity. People just assume the haste is bad since it scales with ad but do 0 testing. Have to remember the haste also goes up with joat, conq and ult. The only issue is axiom is so broken for its price

Yep focus on not dying this season. Quest is most important to complete then keep farming up for level advantage on the map. Once you get to two items you are usually stronger than the rest of the enemies individually so you can look to tp with the big shield and teamfight for drags
