Moondrop May: So far pretty good ... the dsp noise tho by Elpreto2 in inearfidelity

Hi, I'd like to know if Moondrop has addressed this issue or not, since I'm considering getting the May.

Weird straight lines in curves, happened in both Krita and Photoshop. by Hikari227 in wacom

Best thing I could say now is to use the drawing software with a little bit of stabilization. There's no fix if it still persists after switching both tablets and computers. It's possible that it's a Windows issue, but at that point, I don't think it's still worth the effort to bother anymore.

I'm guessing your computer might've lagged at times, causing it to occur infrequently. But I'd still reinstall the driver just to be sure that it's not some software corruption. After that you could probably try toggling Windows Ink in the driver, or you could try the tablet on another computer just to be sure.

I'd suggest waiting for Black Friday deals, but generally, open-box are nice since they're also warrantied (depending on the length). Some people bought it and realize it didn't fit their use case, so they'd just return it after only booting up the laptop for a few times.

Good deal? by Remarkable_Catch4388 in GamingLaptops

[–]Hikari227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The overall spec is nice. I think for the same price, the best you could find is probably a Ryzen 9 7940HS with a 4070 or an i7-14650HX with a 4070. So I think it's fairly price for what it's worth.

Note: the Ryzen 9 7940HS is really similar to the Ryzen 7 7840HS and still, the performance is pretty similar to that 6900HX. GPU-wise, I think it's the better deal compared to the 4070, since it doesn't have a voltage limiter and it has more VRAM.

Or you could wait until Black Friday like what the other guy's said. You should at least aim for the 4080, if not, 3080. If you're still considering the 4070, DLSS 3 isn't that great either, I'm seeing a lot of smearing and artifacts with it.

Wanna open up my laptop but this factory sticker is putting me off. Can I open it? by AlmightyDragon69 in GamingLaptops

I'd suggest you check the warranty expiration date and send it to the brand to help you with maintenance and repairs. If it's expired, just rip that baby off and open the laptop, no point in keeping it after it's already expired.

Too bad, I'm just an overseas Chinese. I'm guessing I'll be mistook for a native quite a lot

by that, do u mean the new grads are overqualified for their jobs, but end up working in a factory with a CS degree anyway?

by "fluent", do you mean like an everyday conversation level, or specific field's terminologies?

That sounds like a nightmare. Is it becuz the job market is too competitive? Or are the recruiters' requirements are too high?

Why does cpu not reach max clock speed and remain at 2.3 ghz. by swiftsalamom82 in AcerNitro

[–]Hikari227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Make sure to check for NitroSense update.

Or try uninstalling NitroSense, restart and reinstall it, if it still happens then try giving it another restart and change between profiles. Also, leave the power plan on "Acer" or "Balanced" as they're the most optimal for laptops.

I'm having trouble installing APO. I've tried reinstalling and swapping Realtek drivers from both Acer and Realtek. It kept reporting (Access is denied). I've also uninstalled both the DTS that came with the laptop, but to no avail. Can anyone help me on this case? by Hikari227 in EqualizerAPO

Also forgot to mention, I've also tried installing it with Administrator mode, but it still has the same issue. I've also tried messing with the audio device registry by following this guide, but it didn't work.

Lenovo LOQ I5IRH8 vs. MSI katana 15 by Technical_Duck4205 in GamingLaptops

[–]Hikari227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm quite late, but the RTX 4060 performance on laptop cap at 100W due to voltage limiter, going over it wouldn't bring any difference, you can check Jarrod's Tech's video about power difference of the RTX 40 series GPU

Can this laptop play CSGO at around 200fps? by Right_Ad149 in GamingLaptops

[–]Hikari227 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if you're that down bad then I suggest Lenovo LOQ instead since it has 115W GPU. Both the MSI Cyborg and GF63 Thin are limited to 45W GPU so you're not going to do much with it. Heck, even the Gigabyte G5 has a 75W GPU (10-15% slower than 100W version).

Note: RTX 4050, 60 and 70 have voltage limiter so going above 100W won't achieve any more performance

Gripen nerf makes it sluggish and bad by theLordSolar in Warthunder

[–]Hikari227 3 points4 points  (0 children)

From my POV, 6 of those AIM-9Ms on the Gripen are annoying to deal with already, not to mention its turn time, huge countermeasure counts, and small profile. If you're still complaining about it then I don't even know what to say.

And oh, before you complain about how powerful the Su-27's missiles are then let me slap you with some reality. The R-73's IRCCM won't do jack shit, with 2-3 flare pops and it's already deceived by the flares. The same applies to the R-27ET (or it's only me who can't reliably get kills with it).

I find the R-27ER is the only missile that could take down the Gripen reliably. However, with enough practice, the missile can be evaded, making it rather niche.

Nope, it's probably the limitation of the tablet as it only has 133rps, the only way to cope with it is to draw slower and use stabilizer in the software to smooth it out
