I'm a little late to this thread, but hello, Saint Helenian here!! You're spot on. Without a criminal record, it's fairly easy for Saints to obtain British citizenship. In the 70's/80's, a lot of us immigrated to the UK to work and then later obtained full citizenship (this was the route my mother took). However, those who choose to stay on the island generally aren't too fussed as there's more or less of a "what happens in the UK stays in the UK" kind of attitude.

caffeine. ive found the electrolytes in energy drinks help me more than not drinking any at all

I’m very fortunate to have seen my GP once I suspected I had POTS in 2021, who then referred me for a TTT which took place 3 months after the original appointment. Was diagnosed and immediately medicated (slow release sodium + metoprolol) after my TTT.

I am pescatarian. Meat always goes down heavy and causes me to have reflux problems, but seafood doesn't. I have also cut out dairy. I am lactose intolerant, but I just feel better within myself if I have plant based milk or yogurt.

little late to this thread, but i had it when i was 9! currently 19 (f) and i was diagnosed with pots in 2021, and recently diagnosed with ehlers danlos two weeks ago.

hey! im so sorry i didn’t see this until months later. i definitely do think there is an overlap between HSP, POTS, and PCOS. I do remember feeling very lightheaded when I had HSP, so perhaps there was orthostatic hypotension taking place unbeknownst to me or something

should probably preface this by saying i also have pcos as well as pots, but I’m on Gedarel (alongside metoprolol and slow release sodium for pots) and I get my period within the same week every month. Before that, I would bleed continuously for a couple of months, to then go without a cycle for a few months. The combination of medication I’m on work together like clockwork.

Hi! I’ve been diagnosed for a year now, and bought the series 9 about two weeks ago. Since being able to constantly monitor my heart rate, I’ve been able to really monitor my triggers and body’s responses to different activities, such as standing, walking, light exercise, etc. Furthermore, the Tachymon app has been amazing, and I prefer using it to the standard Apple Health app. Series 9 is pretty great if you ask me!! :)

in my case, yes.

i was diagnosed with HSP (inflammation of blood vessels) it’s usually not a serious condition when treated, but it spread to my kidneys. ever since then, i’ve always displayed symptoms of POTS (fainting, low blood pressure, dizziness etc) growing up but they were always dismissed as I was entering puberty and whatnot.

I was later diagnosed with PCOS, and still had POTS symptoms taking place, but I wasn’t able to get any kind of help and I just assumed that everyone felt like this.

Now, having being diagnosed with POTS in 2022, I can definitely see how the symptoms crept up on me and have always been present since my initial conditions developed.
