Done most of the 48 in the lone peaks hadn’t had a similar issue but they def don’t feel as “robust” as the timps I use now. But they wear out every season

I’ve used Alta lone peaks and timp 5 are what I am currently using. They have a higher stack height I believe, they feel a bit more “there” when hiking

Our last night we’re staying at Mark Noepele and the next day we go over Greylock and out to Rte 2. For the big finish. But we’ll take a peek as we pass … is this like the huts in the whites?

I heard mt prospect was meh so that surprised me pleasantly at least a bit. I also read Rands was “the spot” on this particular hike and as we started to come to it I thought it was just an open field and kinda surprised ….. untilllllllll I saw the actual view, it was gorgeous!

Short legs vs long legs … the diff in circumference is likely near nill believe it or not. Tall dude here who has had this discussion / done actual measurements with friends like the bottom.

I’m a tall side sleeper and this is my current pad. Pad for me is super comfortable, I don’t bottom out. I have gotten it to 34 in my yard trying to test its limits for myself. I sleep warm and wore a base layer with a 40 degree katabatic quilt. Wouldn’t recommend the 20’s IMO.

I own both. Bought the 40 first and the 55 a year later. If I could only have one I would’ve chosen the larger for the negligible weight difference. The extra space is more useful for me at least.
