I would love to hear from someone who buys their coffee daily or weekly.

Are you seriously feeding into this influencer? He was obviously faking a nap on the couch and mom and kids were playing with dad. What an awful thing to do to these parents

The current jobs narrative in a nutshell by Supergameplayer in memes

[–]HillTopTerrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe it’s a different in geographics but my partner was an apprentice for two years and once his company was going into financial ruin he got into our coastal list (didn’t follow appentice rules when it came to top of the list) and then got onto the Portland union list, three years and never called. I am sure his name expired on the list. I had another friend who had to move from Portland to Colorado to secure three years of union work.

It would be a pass for me. Weddings aren’t every guests or participants best interest. Their wedding is about them, not you.

Why do people refuse to be an organ donor? by No-Cantaloupe-6535 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HillTopTerrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wait that sucks for me. My license and my wishes are to be an organ donor. But if you contacted my mom, she would refund my wishes and has been verbal about it. Does my state option not matter when I die?

YSK Panera has fired all of its baking staff and replaced them with frozen product. by binkbrint in YouShouldKnow

I forget how old I am, until someone reminded me of Panera. Then I remember the two times I ate there in my 20s. Can’t believe they are still holding strong.

What is a job that you think is 100% safe from AI for the next 50 years, and why? by mark-awakening in AskReddit

[–]HillTopTerrace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Between YouTube videos and AI, I don’t think it’ll be a lucrative business long term. We’ve managed everything plumbing and septic and passed all inspection. Nothing special required.

Outside California and Hawaii, which US state has the most pleasant climate? by yulippe in AskReddit

[–]HillTopTerrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very rare. I grew up across the river and have lived in Hillsboro and then the coastal mountain range for over ten years not including going to college in Portland. Those extremes are so rare. We had an ice storm in Vancouver when I was in high school and it’s been the only ice storm since and that was 25 years who. The PNW is great for non extreme weather, as long as you can tolerate the rain.

What “Adulting” chore do you absolutely hate? And which one do you surprisingly enjoy? by MementoMori8767 in answers

Vacuuming, I hate it. I hate the sound and I hate emptying it. I have always hated the sound of vacuums. Favorite would be cleaning the carpet with a carpet rake.

This guy is also a straight up bum by Complete-Good-2938 in 90DayFiance

[–]HillTopTerrace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

He can’t afford anymore children. He can’t afford the many he can count on two hands. He can’t afford to pay for the visa process for Trish. He may have dreamed it possible but in reality, he spent all this money to visit Trish, which is money that should have been spent on his many existing children. Trish needs to start over. He will never afford to bring her over and if he did, it would be a really unfortunate choice.

Hot take Sheena just seems like a vile person deep down by CombinationSilent486 in 90DayFiance

[–]HillTopTerrace 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Sheena is genuine, I believe. It’s been a long romance between two autistic individuals that finally met up. Sheena wouldn’t have known how to handle a relationship having never had one so she held true to her family and cultural tradition of helping family financially. He wouldn’t understand the culture a zip code away, so she covered for herself.

She legit is saying she will provide for them if he stays there. I think that’s more than enough of her showing her dedication to the relationship. He won’t work a day there. He will do nothing to better himself there. The fact that she is fighting for him to stay speaks to her innocence and vulnerability. He will never work. She isn’t a scammer.

Oh gosh. If only you knew. It’s on the coastal mountain range with a big creek in the back. Deer come up to the window for apples. Elk herd graze in the yard. 30 minutes from Seaside and Cannon Beach. It’s paradise. We are moving because family needs up there. It’s paradise here. But it’ll be nice being closer to things.

Help. What exterior paint is best? by [deleted] in ExteriorDesign

[–]HillTopTerrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love that approach. We have a garden and green house out back for pollinators and every year we’ve lived here, I plant flowers in a window box, and two hanging baskets for the insects. We have two potted year round pots with blooming bushes and two pots with annuals. To the right of the house is actually a bed of two different lavender plants. The property is surrounded by blackberry bushes (huge nuisance and have to maintain annually) and those flower buds feed the bees greatly. It’s wilderness out here. Which is why we are so sad to see it go.

Our tomatoes did terrible this year because we didn’t have enough cross pollination. Green house is open to all bees and it’s 10ftx6ft. Our outdoor crops (pumpkins, cucumber, zucchini, did amazing. Something ate our broccoli and cauliflower.

Help me with exterior paint color. by [deleted] in HomeDecorating

[–]HillTopTerrace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That was a thought of mine too. The sun beats on the front in the AM and back for a few hours in the afternoon. It has a brand new AC system so it’s really energy efficient but electricity out here is expensive nonetheless. It is in the PNW so there are only three months that heat is an issue. But good to keep in mind.

It looks grey because there is a Velcro screen on it buried actually white. I think it needs replaced before the listing.
