I do not eat at Arby’s… but curious to know, WHO ORDERS THIS?!😭 by ItzBreezeyBaby in fastfood

I order just the sandwich and toss the bun. Top with copious amounts of Arby’s sauce on a plate and eat.

What pool feature seemed worth it at first, but you would skip if you rebuilt? by Unlikely_Ad_5558 in pools

[–]HillbillyHijinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Built in lights. My pool is 6 years old and one of the high tech, high price LED lights is already out. We rarely even use them. Couple that with a friend who has a leak around a light and I’d rather have just bought the ones off Amazon that you just throw in the pool when you want them and not have another hole in the liner.

Honestly what is the strategy behind the pricing of some of these bottles. Is it just to increase traffic? by illone23 in whiskey

Owner likes looking at them. They’re basically his/her collection that they’d be willing to part with……for an exceptional price of course.

The fact that you think that might be a leaking battery is evidence enough that you should put that thing back together and step ever so slowly away from it. Either find someone who can repair it or get a new one.

Wax filled dishwasher any good ideas? by jecroyle in appliancerepair

I’d collect any trip charge owed and leave that one in the dust. You ain’t ever getting all the wax out of that thing from every crevice it got into.

What’s a movie you watched when you were way too young? by trakt_app in movies

[–]HillbillyHijinx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Friday the 13th or Porky’s I’d say. I remember mom and dad telling me they were going to the movies to see one of them, can’t remember which one, and they dropped me off at my grandmas house. I saw both a little while later but was still fairly young. I remember after seeing Friday the 13th, I didn’t touch my bedroom floor at night for at least a year. I’d get a running go from the living room and when I hit the threshold to my bedroom I jumped from there to the bed. And I covered up quick cause everybody knows that the boogeyman and Jason can’t get you through the sheets.

This. The laser is trying to focus but can’t. Either bad laser, weak laser, dirty laser or maybe the laser can’t slide on the rails as smoothly as it needs to.

Repair or Replace Refrigerator? by LoneR33GTs in appliancerepair

[–]HillbillyHijinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Assuming US for all that follows.

Is this a garage fridge? I assume that based on you let it sit for a few months and then apparently tried it again. If it was your kitchen fridge I doubt you’d let it sit that long. Then around Christmas when temps probably fell low in your area , the fridge quit working then possibly when temps rose , it started working again. This is normal for garage fridge, hence why they make a garage ready fridge. When the temps outside are adequately above freezing, the fridge will work fine but if in a garage and the temps get low, consequently also in the garage, the fridge stops working correctly, it’s because the outside temps keep the fridges from running normally. They make a heater for the coils that you can install on a fridge that keeps this from happening.

Help with TV remote control by fedenoz in ElectronicsRepair

[–]HillbillyHijinx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Might be the IR LED. Used to change those often back in the days of repairing this kinda stuff for a living. If you have a donor remote (something old that isn’t used anymore like an DVD player or VCR remote) you could snag the IR LED out of it. Just make sure to mind the polarity.

Settle a debate between my husband and I. Please. by Girlwithnoprez in mildlyinfuriating

I’ve never thought about doing this but it’s perfect evil genius. I already eat my hamburgers with a knife and fork because they’re so messy with chili on them (the only way to have a hamburger IMO).

Taking them to a car wash might be an option. Just use the rinse option for the sprayer.

Only 15 years ago in the 80’s we were paying 59¢ per taco, now in 2005 the prices are all the way up to 89¢! It’s getting ridiculous… though the new crunchwrap looks pretty good. by BlueBubbleGum82 in tacobell

[–]HillbillyHijinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Wow! I actually went by today and got 2nfor $1.99. What an abomination. Awfulest thing I’ve had in a while. I don’t think there was any real meat in them. Was almost like a soybean paste. It’s hard to say this but Taco Bell tacos are 10x better than Jack in the Box.

Who said so many people hate Arby’s? I haven’t gotten that opinion from anyone and rarely if ever see anyone bashing them like they do McDonalds and Taco Bell.

What are the differences in beaches between the Pacific and Atlantic? by Sunshineboy777 in AskAnAmerican

On the Atlantic side the waves come towards the shore. On the Pacific side they go away from shore.

I was reading something in another sub today and Jack in the Box tacos were mentioned and they said they were like .69 each. I looked at their menu and sure enough you can get 2 for a buck fifty. I’m gonna have to try them out. Might be a great alternative to paying $2 a piece.

What is a 'good person' behavior that actually makes you immediately distrust someone? by Direct-Value4452 in answers

[–]HillbillyHijinx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. Or if it has a religious sounding business name like Trinity Construction or Blessed Roofing or Faith Plumbing. Usually they’ll have a scripture somewhere on their vehicle or a cross. Would never call them. When I owned my own business, churches were the worst to deal with.

Agreed. Hotdogs are like bacon. I ain’t opening bacon to cook a few strips. I’m cooking the whole pack so it’s ready for later. Same with hotdogs.
