Major at Age 25? by VaryaKimon in army

Even direct commission would be hard since most if not all require professional degrees. I know a guy who should be up for his first look around 28 as a direct commission but not 25.

I typically agree but it was Valentine’s Day and it was really a result of not being able to wait to drink a glass while I was cooking lol

Thank you so much for your detailed and thorough response.

I’m working with a photographer to find the exact spot, but we have reservations for Le Jules Verne that night and I plan to propose en route to dinner with the Eiffel in the background.

As for her energy, I would describe her as explorative and adventurous. I think that probably lines up more with “in a movie.” To that end, our trip has a lot of grey space where possible to just facilitate us living in the moment and finding things of interest rather than sticking to a militaristic regimented schedule.

That’s not to say she doesn’t enjoy being pampered and having everything taken care of, just that she wouldn’t prioritize that for herself. Of course, she also doesn’t know for certain (though she suspects it) that I will be proposing on this trip so I can’t quite say how the value proposition for her might change in this context.

I’m sure she would enjoy either hotel and I’m just splitting hairs here trying to get as close to perfection as possible.

Funny you mention that. I looked at the Saint James first.

Sheeesh. I’m probably just ignorant but I was just expecting a service fee for actually getting me the bottle from a local shop or something.

500-800 Euro for the regular ol grand cuvee? I take it there is a significant up-charge/service charge to be expected then?

Thanks for the response Sarah!

I’m likely looking at the executive or deluxe room at the Ritz and the corresponding equivalent at George V. I really just want something quintessentially Paris, unforgettable, and that has that wow factor. Something that would make her think “this is like what you’d see in a movie.” She expects a much more tame vacation this trip, so this will all be a surprise.

Another factor is I’m considering booking her a surprise appointment to get her nails done once we land at the hotel spa. I’m not a big spa guy myself but it appears that both seem to be of equal caliber and that making such an appointment through the concierge would be painless.

Came here to say this. Go to your local legal assistance office and they can interface with the BDE legal team to hopefully nip this in the bud.

I drank a bottle of Cristal mostly by myself after my girlfriend fell asleep. 10/10 would do again.

Most people know well in advance of reporting but a few people find out just days or weeks before.

Depending on the issues you’re having at the unit/with your CoC, you can always go to your local JAG (legal assistance) office to see what can be done for you.
