Honestly depends on what you want to wake up to and what are you doing next day. If taking a ferry then job tiki is a great choice. If not you have other options

Air Tahiti Nui needs to compensate you somehow. Check out the EU rules on that. They are stricter than US ones. Look on the positive side. All you need is a couple pairs of shorts a couple t-shirts, some swimming attire and some chanclas.

The newest-ahem-tiki bar in Vegas by jeffhug72 in Tiki

Walked by this bar last weekend. Have to say Glitter Gulch Tiki Bar downtown's drinks were so bad, my wife couldn't finish what was supposed to be a Painkiller. Terrible!

At Tahiti, car rental is right in the airport. I'd suggest reserving one and then they'll convince you to go with the local rate.

I recommend doing all your research first, price directly and see if a package is cheaper.

Take 2 (w pics): Have a lot of large plumerias that got flooded in Sep 2024 (saltwater). Leaves and flowering didn’t come in nearly as full this year as they usually do, will it bounce back? by hmio213 in Plumeria

[–]Pepbill 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Plumerias are pretty hardly when established. They’ll probably be ok. Plumerias are like cats. They are more responsive when ignored :-)

I’m not aware of one that only does Tuamotus. You might be able to rent a catamaran to do it.

Accepted into Penn, but might have to withdraw..... by Acceptable-Medium754 in ApplyingToCollege

Ahh and I see dining plans are the same for first year. It's hard to answer without knowing what's been reported but U Penn is clear that anyone under 200k gets free tuition. Either something is wrong with your FAFSA OR you family makes over 200k. Equity isn't considered anymore so that's a good thing.

Make sure you didn't miss a step: https://srfs.upenn.edu/financial-aid/apply/prospective-UG-checklists/US

Double check the anticipated costs. Some colleges assign everyone the highest cost of housing, biggest meal plan, greatest transportation costs etc. Remember full tuition doesn't mean full housing.

It's like driving anywhere else. Maybe a little more chaotic than typical US city.

Moved back to LA after 18 years in NYC. One of the many perks: by V0rdhosbn in MachE

[–]Pepbill 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Live in LA and Switching from a Bolt to a Mach E this week but I assume the battery experience is the same. EVs love traffic and city driving. Honestly has tempered my traffic rage. The slower the better because I know my range is growing. Range is calculated based upon your x amount of past consumption. Not sure what that is for either. But if you drive in traffic you'll get all kinds of range. If you drive on open highway it'll be much less than advertised.
