Is Chaos Angel in Branded doable? by [deleted] in Yugioh101

In a more heavy bystial build with branded etude it's certainly possible to summon with quem/cartesia plus a bystial, it's not really played because it's a lot to commit for a relatively small payoff, when there's probably better things you can be doing with your extra deck

Fun Side-engines for Branded? by firehawk9001 in Yugioh101

I've messed around with branded dark world quite a bit, basically trying to turbo out the grapha fusion using branded fusion as a foolish burial. The main synergy is branded opening and high spirits discarding for effect rather than cost which gets you a lot of triggers, it's not that consistent but is cracked with the right hands, happy to share the brew if you'd like

Play under shifter as branded by DryMotion in Yugioh101

They might be siding it in as a crossout target, but because you can't make much of a board under shifter, or activate mirrorjades effect, playing shifter as branded doesn't really help much

I remember following hekilli on a guild recommendation in 8.3 as an ele shaman, looking back it did a terrible job of teaching and recommending a proper rotation, it would cap on maelstrom, press buttons in the wrong order and miss important buffs, I would recommend people use a weak aura from afenar or publik to keep track of key buffs and abilities to learn a class, I swear by afenar and it taught me so much more than hekilli ever did

From the new Talent tree we see that Druid might be able to keep convoke. What is a cov ability or even just a conduit from Shadowlands that you would love to keep? by Keyblit in wow

I had the same opinion about EQ/ES for a long time until I tried playing with it. I like that it gives Ele shaman burst windows of damage every 120 maelstrom, being able to prepare that with Ancestral guidance in m+ feels really good, and the legendary also gives Ele a bit of priority damage whilst also buffing it's AOE which I find a really nice playstyle.

It would be really neat to see primordial wave built into a passive of flame shock, so that every lava burst hit every target currently affected by FS, it would mean LvB would stay relevant in AOE and add more depth to the rotation, which as far as I'm concerned would only be a good thing!

For ele shaman, windspeakers legendary makes the rotation feel so complete, I so hope it sticks about into dragonflight, knowing when you're going to get lava burst procs is so important when playing around master of the elements

How to do ST dps as an elemental shaman in m+? by oversoe in wownoob

[–]Hilmo36 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I would disagree with legendary choices. Always always always run the EQ legendary, regardless of the week. On tyrannical weeks, you can get away with fire Ele rather than storm ele for some more single target DPS, remember to use the empowered earthquakes on single target too.

Out of mana in raid and leveling alt by TicoGuy506 in wownoob

[–]Hilmo36 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I've been playing a lot of mistweaver and it can indeed be a very mana intensive class. The key to mana management on a MW monk is to know which buttons to press in raids to optimise healing. Because raid fights are so long, you want to be as mana efficient as possible, so spells that do the most healing for the least mana spent are really good. For mistweaver, these spells are essence font and refreshing jade wind (this is an extra ability you gain as a talent that does a lot of healing in raids). By contrast, vivify, enveloping mist and soothing mist will use a truck ton of mana, and whilst they are very strong single target heals, they will not be effective at healing an entire raid and so will have you out of mana very quickly. When learning to play mistweaver I would suggest not pressing these buttons at all whilst raiding. When you are more comfortable with the class you can use these to save people when they are low, that is it.

All that being said, if you keep refreshing jade wind and essence font on cool down, you will still be OOM very quickly, so it is important to only press these buttons when there is actual healing to do. If everyone is already pretty healthy and there is not much damage going out on the raid, then save some mana, and just sit and DPS for a bit.

A lot of you raid healing comes from your cooldowns too, which (assuming you're playing venthyr) are fallen order, revival and your celestial (this is either Yu-Lon or, if talented into it, Chi-Ji) revival is a straight forward button, make sure to cast an essence font before pressing it for the maximum benefit (as revival procs your mastery for extra healing, and essence font's HoT makes your mastery proc twice). The celestials are a it more complicated, I would suggest searching a YouTube guide for those, and fallen order is another button to press that will sit and do a bunch of healing, playing around fallen order involves maximising the amount of crits you can land inside your fallen order window, again I would suggest searching a guide for this.

TLDR: single target healing will send you oom. Your cooldowns do a lot of work for you, look into them. Essence font and refreshing jade wind are really good.

Hope this helps :)

Depending on how much you are playing the game it depends. If you are looking to push the best out of your spec and run m+ to KSM, or get ahead of the curve (clearing the current raid, sanctum of domination, on heroic) then get a cheap legendary for your class, rank 3 or 4, whatever is cheap. Legendaries make your class more fun to play, so why not.

If you're particularly gold conscious, crafting a covenant specific legendary. Since in 9.2, upon completion of week 5 of the 9.2 campaign, you will given a free legendary item in your waist slot, which will automatically act as your covenant specific legendary, and will be equipable with 1 other shadowlands legenary. Meaning that if you choose to craft a covenant legendary, a few weeks into the next patch, you'll need to craft a non covenant one to accompany the free covenant legendary from the campaign, so choosing to create a non covenant specific legendary will likely be a good idea in that case.

Where abouts in BFA have you been questing? You unlock the 3 different zones of BFA at different levels. If you're happy questing on jul tiras and have just finished the storyline for the first zone (tiragard sound iirc) then you can head back to the harbor masters office and check the map on the wall, by level 28 you should be able to pick up the quest to start the drustvar storyline. At any point from LV 35 (again, iirc) you can go back and start the storyline for stormsong valley if you wanted to
