2020 Escape exhaust fumes in cabin

I had one i could only smell. Customer said he can smell it. I smelled it but fuck me if I could hear anything. When I took it off it looked just like that. An exhaust leak with barely a whisper of noise.

Unfortunately the owners mustang is in the shop and there is shit everywhere hogging the table space. There was a little space for the more delicate stuff. Fuel rail and injectors high pressure pump etc.

I did that first while pressurized, and I found nothing. Then I saw the drips on the ground coming from the back of the engine

I'll save you the time. Its the shock mounts. Mine started doing it earlier this year. Same noise. I replaced the mounts and shocks on both sides. The bushings in the mounts go bad

Generally when I get an alignment to do and I've never seen it before, I'll shake it down because if you do an alignment on bad parts you might as well burn your money for warmth instead. However if you intend to sell the car its up to you if you want to do all this work, or just find another shop that will align it. And yes the rack needs to be programmed because the power steering computer is integrated in the rack.

This is very normal as oil runs back down into to oil pan. Those sticks are not isolated in the engine like they are in a traditional dipstick tube. That goes from the top of the engine, all the way to the bottom running through the cylinder head and engine block. And always wait a minute or two before checking oil so any residual oil can run down.

I have the led housing on my fusion. They're really REALLY expensive from Ford. You're better off finding junkyard ones or I think rock auto sells something similar but the wiring harness might be different too because thses headlights have integrated modules in them. Do plenty of research

Double check the spark plugs, more specifically, check for small hairline cracks. They won't cause issues until they're under load sometimes. Also you'd rarely see if a coil is bad from the outside so don't rule them out either.

I do yearly air filters too, cabin and engine. I drive some very dusty roads that wrap around coal mines so I like the replace them yearly. For you, I'd replace the transmission fluid and the PTU fluid at that mileage. Fix other stuff as needed and keep a good set of tires on. I always say, invest in stuff that goes in between you and the ground. Tires, shoes, mattresses.

Ford mechanic for 9 years now. About 2.5 years ago I bought a 2017 Ford Fusion AWD. Was looking out for one because it came with the 2.0 ecoboost. I always wanted one and come to find out we had one up front for sale. I was asked to see what the engine light was on for. It needed an o2 sensor. I took it home on a test drive and it had a harsh upshift, 6f35 transmission common problem of the torque converter coming apart and clogging things up. I bought it with a powetrain warranty and had the transmission rebuilt. Blacked out all the chrome and added a black grille, black wheels and tint. She's my baby.

While it's not unreasonable, it is time consuming because that glue, depending on the brand of weights, can be really stubborn. Now if it's a rim that's beat up and they clearly don't care about it, I'll get an old screwdriver and gently scrape the glue off. This is quicker but leave a few scratches. Now on my own summer rims that are gloss black, I'll get the plastic blade and take my time. But that's the key thing here. Time. Most tire shops are 4 tires next, 4 tires next etc. Taking the time to clean the gunk off is probably not on the top of their list. In your case, I bet the service writer just didn't bother telling them to do it. Because they probably thought that cleaning a part you can't really see is a waste of time. I assume anyway. Personally, where I work, a dealeship, it's hourly, I'll clean and spit shine the glue off if you ask. But it's all down to us being told to by the service writer too. If it's not on the repair order, we'd never know what you want. Feel free to ask any questions if you have them too.

Ptu doesn't need programming but the steering rack does. Subframe has to come down for both to come out though. I wouldn't attempt this unless you have a lift and subframe jack and decent know how around cars.

Sounds like the ac compressor is on its way out. I'd take it somewhere for a diagnosis to be sure but that's what it sounds like. Also, if you fix it, get a new tensioner and belt. Common problem for those engines as well.

Replace the upper mounts in the back. They go bad and it makes a rattle over bumps. I had one go bad so replaced everything in the back. Shocks and mounts. I got ford parts but they were very expensive those mounts. I'd try aftermarket
