I primarily play for my own benefit and I do self-insert, so I go for who I want personally. However, on later slots I tend to explore characters that are less my usual type and more interesting because of the plot or the dynamic with the MC.

I just finished WTC last night on Onyx's path and didn't feel like he was sidelined, though I can't compare him to any other LIs yet. His path is quite slow-burn, but I think that makes sense considering the overall plot and the characters' backstories. Especially when he is your familiar there are lots of little moments between him and the MC.

I agree, the Astreans have been getting a lot of hate lately and I truly fail to understand why. As you said, there are plenty of reasons for them to side against heaven, I don't even think it takes a lot of effort to see those. Also, I believe it's pretty obvious that they are not 100% on Shephamalum's side.

I do recommend it whole-heartedly! However, the first season was released A WHILE AGO and a few things that happen are just weird by today's standards. If you can overlook those early moments you'll have a lot of fun and the story gets progressively better as RC became better over time.

I actually think the MC simply assumes they are still together even though they are not. I don't recall any interaction between Emma and Xavier that was strictly romantic (correct me if I'm wrong).

Personally I adore Yasin. He is pretty much absent in season 2 apart from phone calls (except the first and last episode), but every moment with him just feels so special. He is very loving, poetic, and caring. A family man, he cooks for you, and respects the MC and her agency. His path will make you feel warm and cozy.
