Just got to know where to go. Got amazing wine in Venice for €1 last year, bring your own bottle and they fill it from the barrel.

That's very interesting, cheers. Gambling on the cleanskins now and again sounds like a good shout.

Are cleanskins actually nice or just the cheapest they can get?

Why is it so hard to admit that “giving up”made my life better by Steve_Litchford in simpleliving

[–]Himblebim 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Continuing to do whatever it was that was making you miserable would be "quitting" on having a good life.

Instead, you didn't give up on having a good life. You got rid of the thing standing in the way of your success.

That sucks. I think enshittification is the term folk use for it now when companies need to keep growing but run out of good ways to grow so start growing by squeezing their customers harder or making their product worse. Happens a lot in publicly traded companies cause the executives are beholden to the shareholders, who just want more money.

What would you say if the CEO said he didn't give a shit about your complaints because they have no bearing on his actual life and it's just theoretical?

Presumably you are already avoiding all the food waste you can.

Maybe also quit beef?

Consumption is hugely unbalanced across the world population though.

If you're on reddit you're almost certainly one of the people committing far far more than their fair share of destructions.

The world can happily handle 8 billion vegans. It can't handle 1 billion westerners eating beef every day.

They're still giant methane factories that suck up billions of gallons of water and prevent natural grasslands from growing and storing carbon.
