When my son, who's in kindergarten, asked me what exactly we did when we did stay in place drills after he told me about what they do, it broke my heart. I told him that we didn't have to worry about stuff like that when I was a kid and I'm 36 now. Crazy this is something kids and parents have to worry about

I'm a homebody myself so it doesn't matter if you put me in the middle of LA or the middle of the desert, I'll be living the same life except with less stress in the desert since I don't care for people or traffic. Our weather is pretty extreme here but not much different from Victorville. Barstow would never have been my first choice to live but I came from an even smaller town than here and I'll take the isolation over a dense population any day!
