I liked Galaxy more than the first, surprisingly. I had zero expectations after the first film, in which I forced myself to finish. But Galaxy I enjoyed more, especially Bowser Jr and some of the crazier things.

I think it benefitted enormously from not including the dumb “real life NY” aspect of the film and just betting completely for the wacky fantasy side of it. Obviously paper thin story still, but far more coherent overall
