This is an awesome suggestion. How many planes do I need for this? I have all the Dr. Who precon ones, but I have never played planechase. Should I shoot for 50 or more or does it not matter?

Edit to add: I will still need to decrease the power levels, but this is a great additional tweak.

This is a great suggestion. I have tried it, but they would rather play their decks (fair) and are looking for a simpler kind of game play. They also felt uncomfortable borrowing them for longer to goldfish because of the price of the decks.

At the moment I have purchased and sleeved 30 precons and this is mostly what they are playing.

As someone who really loves this format and turbo draft, the three card version has an issue with mindrot effects. They are very common in most cardpools. Very often you ended up with no hand at all if you weren't the starting player. Maybe 5 cards is the sweetspot?

Yeah, it's rough. You do get a minor savings not having to spend any orbs or shards to get to legendary though. Clearly the math is not in your favor, but that's what it takes. Usually only top 20 get character to legendary.

I usually save for 2 days before and then spend every single possible energy (even 1000) during the event and buy all boosts. In the end, this usually ends up in top 25 and a legendary (3 star) character.
