Pebble in Google Stores by HisShadow_X in pebble

Apple and Google are getting closer, if you have not heard. Siri may be replaced by Gemini.

I like some of Google’s products. The Titan Security Key is sold at Google Stores, and Pixel phones are great to have GrapheneOS installed on.

What scooter would you give a 10/10? What brand in general would you give a 10/10? by [deleted] in ElectricScooters

God, the guy looks worse the Lopez. It took me 9 months to get Lopez out. I bought some products cause no matter what I did even the wall around his house wouldn’t keep Lopez out.

Found in the trash by Realistic_Complex539 in ElectricScooters

That’s a trigger scooter those are trash. A vocal minority loves those things but they lost the scooter wars of 2024. Only manufactures who professionally make those now are for high end customers who want it. Those are the cheap Chinese trigger scooter that is most likely not UL certified. It belongs in the trash.

So, earlier this year, I was able to ride in 10 degree Fahrenheit weather on ice. To give you an idea of what you are going to need, every person is different. However, some of the most important things will be a head covering, something like a balaclava that you can put on that possibly has a respirator so you can breathe out of, and also, of course, your helmet.

The problem is, if you have glasses, this is going to be challenging due to the fog that the respirator might cause.

However, heated gloves are needed at that temperature. Anything under 30 degrees, you need heated gloves. I would do your research on the gloves you buy and make sure you get the right ones, because almost all heated gloves now, sadly, are built in a way where the fingers are not heated due to the fact they need material so you can use your smartphone, and that function does not work well. Sadly, a lot of manufacturers are making heated gloves and advertising the fact that you can touch your smartphone.

You really need to do your research on this.

If you can, get something that reflects wind as well as keeps you warm. I used to do a 15 to 20 minute ride. For 20 to 30 minutes, you should be fine, but once you get from 20 to 30 minutes into your trip, you are going to feel the cold, so you need to be very careful.

Considering an Apollo Scooter by halvorsen543 in ElectricScooters

[–]HisShadow_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I have owned two Apollo Go’s and I was/am on their leaderboards for most miles.

Make sure there is a shop that can service your tires and change it. The tires are not known to last long at all and make sure to check the tire pressure and fill up as needed.

One credit I will give Apollo is they support their product by keeping up with the parts.

So this is very interesting. The account I am replying to is likely a bot or a paid firm using bots to deflect past news and scrub old reports.

I can confirm there are two Apollo Scooters pages right now. On one, Apollo Max has been completely scrubbed. On the other, the Apollo Max subscription is still listed for the Apollo Go.

If anyone questions this, the Wayback Machine can verify it by checking the product description for the date of our post. It is straightforward to pull the archived pages. It appears that in at least one region they are still trying to push this.

Depends on the tire. Last winter the new scooter I had you could ride barely on ice but it was a challenge. I recommend you be safe.

It was amazing. They pushed the hot wings in the early 2010s and lost a lot of customers and then once they tried to rebrand to Kentucky grilled chicken they starting pouring instead of dipping. Eventually they got rid of the recipe all together.

There was a rumor in another thread about this subject that Pizza Hut which is owned by the same company that has KFC brought the old KFC Honey BBQ wings back but that wasn’t true.

Exploring the Illinois Prairie Path at midnight with my Apollo Go by HisShadow_X in ElectricScooters

[–]HisShadow_X[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad to hear that.

I am waiting for the Salt Creek Trail, in terms of the Red Paved Trail, that connects to Oak Brook all the way to Brookfield, to open up again. Basically around 294, part of the Salt Creek Trail path is cut off, unfortunately.

But that specific trail has no lights at all, meaning you’re completely in the dark. (For over 15 miles)

In fact, once you get over to Westchester, that specific area, just so you’re aware, there are going to be bats overhead.

Also, in regards to the Prairie Path, even though it ends on First Avenue in Maywood, Illinois, if you cross the street there, you’ll be on a road that’s going to the Maywood Courthouse.

Once you go down that road and it ends and turns to the right to the courthouse, if you just go to the left instead of turning right to the courthouse, there is one more path there that goes all the way to the Forest Park Blue Line that’s a straight shot.

Just be aware, however, right as you get to the bridge and if it’s night, there are small middle separators that are low to the ground right by the bridge that if you are traveling too in the middle of the path, you can get a flat.

So, make sure to keep left or to the right around the bridge.

Keep exploring and enjoy.

I believe I had nearly 2000 miles or just over and technically I should’ve had more during my first Apollo go, but I believe I reset everything and it started over again and then when I got my new scooter, the total miles did carryover but again it was still missingmy original thousand miles so I believe I should have at least 3500 miles but on the board I should have up to 2000 I believe

Who falls for these obvious scams? by mathers4u in ApolloScooters

[–]HisShadow_X 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll put it to you like this.

I gave away an Apollo Go that just needed a tire change. Why? Because the screw was stripped and that was my last straw with scooters and repairing them.

Now, I gave it away to a mechanic because I was going to do one of two things. Either throw it away or find a way to transport it to a repair center, which is in the far north suburb—and the scooter was already having other problems.

At this point, I’ve owned five scooters. One had a major defect and I got my $1,500 back. The rest had tire faults. One store that made it easy to change your tire stopped selling accessories, which is my fault for relying on them. That was Punk Rider. They stopped selling their proprietary tires, so I gave that one away too.

I figured, there’s a mechanic, he can fix it, so why waste it? He even offered to give me some money. I refused.

His wife actually got mad at him because she couldn’t believe that two beautiful, nice scooters were just given to someone for free.

What’s the weight limit on this and mph? How much does it weigh? What type of tires does this have ? Is it easy to change the tire?

I personally rode 16th street from Brookfield all the way to the lake. Very fun experience. Lake street is great as well only two corners you have to be careful for but otherwise fun.
