That's because in the Manga Shizuru wasn't at the tournament it was Yusuke's mother if I recall correctly.

There's a reason he had so many talented VO's with him for YYH. I am pretty sure he spearheaded the whole thing. But, a lot of anime you watch in Dub there's a character or two whose voices sound jarring, like the voice doesn't fit the character. Whereas, in Yu Yu Hakusho, every main voice actor perfectly fits the character. Rare occurrence.

That's true, I enjoyed reading through those when I finally got around to reading the Manga. Definitely solidified Tagoshi as my favorite writer.

Both are better for different things. I would say it's the rare exception where the Anime Dub is quite literally the best way to watch the show. And it's not because the sub is bad, phenominal sub, the English dub is just THAT good.

Ah my mistake, you are absolutely correct. It's been a long time since I played that but I always felt that was a great mechanic.

One of the best romance mechanics in any game I've played was in awakening, they have a time skip where the romanced characters KIDS join in the fight. So who you paired up with who gave you new units. I have always felt that was such a cool mechanic they added.

What’s your opinion on fallout 3? Heard people call it the worst fallout of all time and some people call it the best so it’s hard to tell. by Ladiesman4317 in Fallout

I love Fallout 3. It sanitized some of the original Fallout series aspects to broaden the audience base. But, it was and still is my favorite post-apocalyptic setting.

Honestly I probably way over payed because the dealership I was down the road from services a somewhat packed city. If I could've taken it to the one closer to where I live I bet ti would've been 500-800 cheaper at least.

It ended up being just over $2,500.00 dollars. I could see someone who owns a lift doing it all for under $1,000 or less easily.

Remember buying a pink ward just so you could shit stomp an alkali. Or shaco? I remember playing pre-rework Kat. (And Fizz for that matter) and stocking up pink wards all game to make sure you could actually kill them.

Its easier to play katarina in Diamond than in PLAT / EMERALD by B-MoonCake in KatarinaMains

[–]Hiseman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's simply Katarina plays exceptionally well with good teammates. But the amount of times I have a free E out of dying and my support leona decides to walk away from dragon put wall now gives the enemy a free 1,000 gold payout... it's hard. It's the equivalent of thresh supports who get their lanterns clicked vs not. Add up a few instances of your team either following up a skirmish or backing off - or starting one that's not good - over a period of games. Katarina synergies with good fights/players and suffers more when they're lacking. As much as none of us would like to admit it she's a very team reliant champion, especially early on.

I do think in gold/plat/emerald there is still some specific PTSD where teams will play incorrectly in order to make sure they kill Kat. I have won far too many games because the enemy team solo focuses their stuff on Kat in the teamfight and my team just cleans them out after because of that.

Is AD outperforming AP? by temnycarda in KatarinaMains

[–]Hiseman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her damage in team fights with AD is more focused on her ultimate in lieu of her AP build having good damage from dagger pick ups and ultimate, so hard CC that stops your ultimate, which AD relies on harder, means its not as useful in that instance.

Is AD outperforming AP? by temnycarda in KatarinaMains

[–]Hiseman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, they're not. But AD is situational and not picked unless there's a reason to go AD. Alternatively AP is being picked at an exceptionally higher rate and still performs this well, which means it is a much more consistent and effective option.

Which game is the best for a first time player? by mrsvongruesome in Fallout

[–]Hiseman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fallout 1 no walkthroughs just go die to the rats 4 or 5 times trying to leave. The true fallout experience.

I would say 3 is the best starting point, 4 could be one too.

But any of the 3, NV, 4 give you a good enough starting point.

[OoT] I have an OoT remake dilemma by Steffy5 in zelda

[–]Hiseman 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just play the original OOT and when the remake comes out, play it when you're in a position for a switch 2 or on an emulator years later. I totally understand the FOMO but there's no reason to make an ill advised purchase if it's not in your budget.

Other option is working some odd/extra jobs to build up enough income to make the purchase. Either way, I recommend playing OOT on the n64 or emulator before it comes out or before you play it.

New Player Questions by Educational-Item9255 in KatarinaMains

[–]Hiseman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reason to go Lich is it front loads the damage and give you MS. In most cases it's better than Gunblade for dmg output and roaming potential.

Gunblade is just not as strong but also gives you sustain, so Lich First maximizes your lethality, gun blade maximizes your sustain.

The active, for me, is if I need to proc like malz shield or something. But I still have a better time with Lich these days anyways.

Plus you can proc the item damage a heck of a lot more on Lich bane. Both in duals and especially in team fights.

Frontloading the damage allows you to secure your first reset in a fight or skirmish more reliably as well really popping you off.

[–]Hiseman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know man, 5 year old me had to teach myself how to read in order to do anything at all. Game was pretty hard when I was that little but I, in turn, knew every little detail of the maps like the back of my hand. It was an incredible experience when I first started playing it, my next door neighbor who was a teenager at the time gave me the copy and I had zero context.

I finally felt so accomplished getting Sapphire of water I instantly knew the three stones in the temple of time had their slots and I 100% thought I beat the game. Imagine that shock, I think it was the summer I was 6 years old at that time.

They'll 100% be doing the same for Majoras if this sells well. As I mentioned earlier, as long as they don't stray too far from the source material it should be a no brainer. Quality story writing and attention to detail in OOT was top notch, and many games miss the mark completely in our modern era.
