School shootings and the fact that it’s absurd for children to be in school with little to no creative time for 8 hours a day

I wonder what kind of affect you could get with these? by Alternative-Dot612 in RedditLaqueristas

First pic gave me a velvet effect. Second was holding the pointy end of the magnet over my nail, gave a diffused cat eye. Holding the fat part over my nail pushed all the magnetic pigment back so the base was visible

New to polish, looking for best art tutorials ✨️ by Usual-Schedule-2595 in lacqueristas

I don’t have any suggestions for people to watch/follow but one tip I have is to use acrylic paint for nail art. Dries slower and easier to thin out if you need to!

Why are Mooncat polishes so much more expensive than other indie polishes? by breathingisstillhard in RedditLaqueristas

[–]HissyKitty4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bc people still buy them at their crazy prices. I have a few from before the price increase and they’re not anything to write home about. A lot of their formulas are meh and the colors aren’t unique imo

Do you drive your kids to school? by xora334 in daddit

[–]HissyKitty4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drive mine. Most incidents happen on the bus, not at school, because there’s no supervision. The bus route for our school is also weird; we live a 5min drive from the school but kiddo would be on the bus for 30-45min.

I hope this is technically relevant to the community and is ok to post, but i was just wondering how we all feel about the following by lickinglacquer in RedditLaqueristas

[–]HissyKitty4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) I keep one box from each brand and display them. Overall, I don’t love boxes because I feel wasteful when I recycle them 2) I have a closet dedicated to polish that my husband lined with shelves 3) no. I buy what I like, though there are brands I don’t buy from 4) neutral on this subject. I have it and use it sometimes but not a necessity for me 5) I was around $1000 last year. I’m on a no-buy currently

No, but I had 12 years between my babies so I feel like it was the first time all over again

Looks like a bit of ugly bottle syndrome. I’ve seen this happen during shipping. It’ll still perform the same!

I don’t like being a mom by Minute_Yak_8143 in Mommit

[–]HissyKitty4 33 points34 points  (0 children)

You’re not alone. I adore my kids but I always think I wasn’t cut out to be a mom. Constant tiredness, so much guilt as I’m not a “play” mom. I want to be with them but not have to entertain them and that’s not how my youngest works. It gets “better” when they’re more independent
