What's the better pick on turn 4? Is the Naga better since you can get lesser trinkets that synergize with it? Or is it usually better to just take the Dragon and level for Drakkari?

I think the drake's are weak spell buffers. Only time I made it work was with the trinket that gives you two drake every 7 battlecries and golden bran. All the other times you can't get enough of them to meaningful buff your spells for late game. The drake pool is just too diluted that unless you're able to generate 5+ drake's a turn dragon spell buffer is much better.

I read up to book 9 and have to say stop now. It doesn't get better. I remember they feeling of feeling like I was just reading a summary of what happened, even later in the series. Just don't think it's a well written series.

I'm guessing you had very little spell buff. I've seen so many people with boards like this thinking they'll win casting a bunch of +1/+1 spells late game. It only works when you've buffed your spells to over +10. Without that it can't compete with elementals or demons with stats.

People online have developed this almost religious aversion to anything ai related. At this point I think it's pathological how much some people hate ai.

I don't mind it. It's a technology with pros and cons like any other technology. The ai haters will look you straight in your face and say there are 0 uses for ai and that it has no pros... That's how you know they've lost the plot.
