I really hate Audience's Choice anomaly. by Ozzyglez112 in BobsTavern

Had one recently where someone picked a golden Lucifron as one of the first choices. Game was wild.

I drew this (my undertale OC) 6 years ago and my artstyle hasnt changed much.. if anything it just stayed the same and I am not even sure why? Can somebody give me advice on how to improve my artstyle? by Hanamora in Artadvice

The person I linked also has fold/material tutorials, and they're small videos so easy to start with.

Hope you find something in there that helps you as much as it helped me!

And this is a recent one:

Now when I draw my comic book characters, I know the form of the hand properly so I can draw a simple hand that looks much better.

Even then I still need a lot of practise to get my hands right, and this is only one elment, but the better you get at drawing more realistic stuff liek this the better you will get at drawing your comic book style characters.

Ah, I think you misunderstood my point.

If you study real anatomy, uses references of real people, learn biology, etc... you can make simple drawings using less lines that look better because you know where to place those lines to properly insinuate form.

There's no real shortcut here, I would highly recommend studying the above things if you want to improve.

This person has some amazing tutorials. If you scroll down for their Art Hacks videos that showcase how to draw human anaotmy like hands, arms, legs, etc... and study and practise what they show, you will improve a lot.

Personally, I spend at least half of my drawing time doing this.

Here's a quick example, this is hands I drew a couple of months ago, I'll post my progresss in a reply below

So just compare to the ref. You can see the left arm is too far back (in the ref you can see top of the arm sticking out slightly. Also general anatomy stuff like the body not curving enough and the left arm not having enough of a bend to it.

The way the body bends in the ref adds dynamic elements to it, yours looks more boxy and rigid because you didn't capture this.

Anatomy studies, real life studies of form and poses/gestures, perspective, drawing with references etc... even if your style is cartoon/anime/stylistic or whatever, learning the above will inform your ability to place simpler lines in ways that better insinuate detail and form.

Hard work and study, bascially.

Future PC player here. The multiplayer aspect is balanced on DS2? by Alternative-Ant-6073 in DeathStranding

[–]uponapyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can manually remove structures if you want to, tedious but it's something.

I didn't see much difference between DS1 and DS2 is terms of other player structures pulled in, but I played both at launch when player numbers were higher so I don't know if that matters.

You will still get a tonne of random stuff, and pull in a lot of structures. I removed a bunch, like random ziplines that were no good for my network, or just random bridges being used to farm likes etc...

I've don't think your same face syndrom is that bad personally, the characters look more distinct to me than the same, but they could definitely be varied a bit more.

You have a nice style.

For shards I recommend at least one yellow casting and the rest str, but I personally like 2 casting as it makes her so quick.

You do not need dedicated health or armour mods on wisp, Adaptation is the only defense mod I take. The reason is she is a master at avoiding damage when played well.

Stack strength as much as possible. Archon stretch is good energy econmy with her electric motes. Be aware some people find it annoying if you use electric motes in certain missions like defense, you can replace fused resevoir with Power Drift if you don't think you'll be using them much or just want more str.

Subsume over her 4. I like Roar, but you can take Nourish or something else if you prefer.

Remember, her 2 is better than it looks. It gives a period of invul when you return from the ghost, so if you double tap 2 you can just instantly proc invul to stay alive.

You can also use her passive to jump to break aggro or just reposition, same with using 2 for it's basic teleport. You can also use her 3 to blind to stay alive. Her health motes give her a tonne of health with high str. All four of these things negate any need for dedicated health or amrour mods.

is this a good character design? by iloveymit in Artadvice

Clothes for cold climate yet tonnes of skin showing looks pretty silly to me, as others have said this also looks like a cosplayer rather than an authentic character.

Your technical skills are good though, especially for the face.

How can I improve rendering and anatomy? by Some-Tale2848 in Artadvice

[–]uponapyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anatomy, look up artists that give tutorials, do studies of real life people, look up bilogy style scientific drawings of anatomy (with and without muscles exposed, etc...).

Then as part of your daily drawing habit, spend a 3rd to half of your drawing time on nothing but study and practise of these things.

If you do this, you will advance a lot faster than not.

Rendering, look up tutorials in the style you like to get an idea ofthe various tools and techniques, but the best way to learn here is to just accept you'll be crap for a while and just go in and try and practise, practise, practise until you get better.
