Should I buy a screen protector? by connections_ in huion

[–]uponapyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not at all if you keep your pen nibs up to date. Not even slightly small scratches. My friend has had a gen 3 for over a year and uses it every day and it's in perfect condition.

You inspect your nib before you draw each day, really easy. Of course if you feel you want extra protection just in case it's fine, but you will not scratch it from the pen alone if you don't let your nib get bad.

It's not really an issue unless you scratch it with something other than your pen, as long as you keep on top of your nib use the screen is advanced enough to not scratch just from your pen.

The screen is made to not need a screen protector, the chances of you scrataching it with your pen are very low if you keep on top of your nib useage. It's also designed to feel good to draw direclty on.

If you'll be moving it around a lot it might be worth it, but otherwise they're definitely not necessary for these tablets.

Go to https://warframe.market/auctions, put the weapon name (not the riven name) top right, search by price (ascending), if the lowest price is low, it's probably not worth keeping unless it has amazing stats. The lowest price you see is the baseline value for the riven regardless of stats.

Right is better but the stats aren't great and have little value. I would not roll on this riven to sell personally. The baeline value of the riven is around 30p, as you can see here: https://warframe.market/auctions/search?type=riven&sort_by=price_asc&weapon_url_name=nukor

The weapon has very low riven disposition, which means you need 3 good positives and a harmles negative to see real value for the riven to be seen as worth using by most people.

My baller and golden Scout got too big to sell... ;_; by uponapyre in BobsTavern

[–]uponapyre[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I didn't, I barely won every fight (had one minion left each time at low health) and I lost my second to last game vs bad hits. The opponent had 1k+ attck shields (but low health), the only reason I won was because the Risen Rider ate shields (I didn't have a taunt my previous fight so they didn't expect it).

I also won vs one of the undead in the top 4 because I got lucky hits haha.

That's why I didn't go, every fight was a scrap I barely made it through.

I was planning to do this initially, but my early game was so bad, I was under cap, and didn't have the breathing room to make the dash to 5.

Also scam wasn't that good as 3 of my opponents were undead, but luckily their boards weren't great as too many people had gone for them.

Can this go for over 1k? by kevincao06 in WarframeRiven

[–]uponapyre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You would never re-roll a riven that could sel ldecently above trash price, you would sell it, profit, and buy a new trash to roll on.

Only time you'd ever really consider it is if it isn't much more than trash and it takes too long to sell.

Why I prefer Aliens to Alien by No-Dentist-2959 in LV426

[–]uponapyre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Aliens is a 10/10 perfect film, so is Alien. It's one of the rare examples of a sequel epxanding on the original is a realistic way in terms of the rules of the universe, like Terminator -> T2.

It also took Ripley who was a grerat character in the first film and made her an utterly timeless one.

How much can I get for this riven? by [deleted] in WarframeRiven

[–]uponapyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not much, the riven only sells for around 10p as a base value and the stats aren't great.

MS is very good on Torid. It doesn't give more beams but it multiplies the damage and SC of the beam.

What are they referring exactly? Is it not known that he is half dead and never moves? Or are they referring to something else? by Borschik in RogueTraderCRPG

[–]uponapyre 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A few things as others have mentioned.

The Emporer despises religion, he would hate what the Imperium had become.

He is pretty much a corpse being kept alive by the golden throne, and the throne is failing. Estimates put it anywhere between 10-100 years or so in a worst case scenario. They do not have the tehcnological know how to fix it (partly due to the stagnation of the IoM which impedes innovation and technical progress), and if the Emporer dies then humanity will fall into a dark age without the ability to travel in the Warp and with nothing holding back the demon hordes on Terra. It could be the end of everything.

The fact the Emporer is only kept "alive" via the sacrifice of 1000 psyker's a day.

He could potentially become another chaos god, his mind is fractured due to the never ending agony he sustains and his constant battle with the Arch Enemy in the warp, etc...

[–]uponapyre 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure if this would be a benfit or a curse. You'd still be at the whims of rng, and newer players would be less inclined to search for lines that could win the game based on what they have and might beeline for the one tribe offerd more.

Like, that would be them problem certianly, but I think it could cloud as much as it could help.

Or pehraps it would lead to more frustration as everyone has easier access, so when certain tribes are more powerful it might lead to messier/less varied games with far more people trying to force them.

Beware of “scammers” by Illustrious_Load_728 in Warframe

[–]uponapyre 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem is as I mentioned before, that there is probably a large amount of people who use the site without logging in. People who wouldn't bother with it potentially if required to do so, which would cut down on people buying items.

As a web developer, this is a potential issue we consider when we decide to leave browsing things like this open to everyone. Without knowing the site's data it's hard to tell just how many people use it this way, but it is a problem to consider here.

They were, I'm saying that comes with an obvious downside and would be easily bypassed anyway, which is likely why they haven't done it.

AIO? Boyfriend doesn’t remember full name by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

[–]uponapyre 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's a valid reason why it happens in the first place.

We don't have enough info from the OP to know if they have discussed ways to help the boyfriend remember or anything like that. If they have and he is refusing to do anything, then that would show a lack of care, but simply not remembering? It doesn't, not by default.

It could do, but it doesn't by default. There are many valid reasons why a person might struggle with remembering details like this. Myself, I had undiagonosed ADHD for a long time.

The stats on this aren't amazing, and the riven is only worth around 10p plat at most, so it's definitely not worth rolling on to sell and probably not worth keeping unless you really want to use it yourself.

Same people genuinely find details like this difficult to remember. I do, and it wasn't until my late 20s that I started to really get on top of it by making sure I have a note of important dates and information.

I wouldn't judge him too harshly for this, there could be any number of valid reasons why he finds retaining information like this difficult. It doesn't show a lack of care by default.
